Why do we only get 2 points for answering some questions and 3 for others?

I just noticed this. Why would this be so?

Can anyone answer this for me?

Thank you.

    • The most efficient way to get your 3 pts would be to simply state "Idk" :D

    • Answers like I don't know will often be deleted if they are noticed.

You don't get 2 points for answering a question.

      You get 3 points.

The only thing I know that is 2 points, is your daily login.

    • I asked this question right after I answered a question, with much more than a yes, no or IDC. And it said I had earned 2 pts for that answer.

  • Never noticed it, maybe it depends on the category the question is in.

    • You earned the 2 points for logging in, but you will earn the 3 points for answering the question. Also remember - Xper points are calculated nightly but it may take 24-48 hours to appear on your account. So the Xper points you are earning may have been from the day or 2 before.
