Why bad boys can seem attractive to girls

The way im defining bad boys is a spectrum, with two extremes on each end. They can be everything in between as well.

The first extreme:

Is that douchebag who gets girls and leaves them at the curb, causes drama, lies, cheats, etc. He gets a bad repuation is commonly called the "douchebag". Because of this most girls say stay away from him. (AKA the "bad" version of the bad boy)

Now on the other end of the spectrum:

The confident, rebellious, dominant, bad boy who gets girls because his rebellious, dominant, and confident traits satisfy a lot of girls needs and wants in a mating partner on a primal level... but doesn't mess them over. (The "good" kind of bad boy)

But the reasoning behind it is because those traits that bad boys usually have would've helped her and her offspring survive in the wild if we were still living in the woods or wilderness. He wouldve been a safe choice to be the father and protector of her offspring. We think on a primal level like animals do, but we're more intelligent, so its not like were thinking like that all the time. But those traits satisy her needs on a primal level. So if done right, its more attractive and/or could even be more fullfulling for a girl then a nice guy in some cases, even if they were equally attractive. And even though he's not as attentive as the nice guy he's not causing drama, cheating, and lying like the first type of bad boy. So he attracts girls with those traits and he actually keeps them.

Thats usually the reason why they get girls. Also factor in their looks they generally have. But one end of the spectrum will get the reputation as a douche bag bad boy, the other will be sought after more and have good success with girls.

But the one that's talked about the most is the first one or guys close to his end of the spectrum.(bad kind of bad boy)

And understand they can fall on anywhere on the spectrum and can have elements of both. They can even fall between a spectrum of the second bad boy(the good kind) and a nice guy. So he would end up being a hybrid of attractive traits of a bad boy that satisfy her needs on a primal level as well as satisfying her other needs with the traits of a nice guy. I call this guy the nice guy bad boy hybrid.

Now you know why girls can be attracted to guys like them. :)

Young people often want to test the limits of their mortality. Teen boys are into motorbikes and jumping off high places... college guys are down to drink into blackouts. Teen girls are no different and dating dangerous boys is just one of the ways in which they take big risks which in some degree risk their mortality (obvious the chance is small but it exists) or some other bad outcome like teenage pregnancy blah blah.

Most girls get out of this mode by their mid 20s hopefully a bit earlier. I totally get as a guy why so many nice guys flip out about the bad boy appeal but I'd say as a young guy work on who you find yourself attracted to. I bet they have a lot of bitchy qualities most of the time.

I just read it. I agree. I 've read many articles on this subject. A question always comes to mind but remains unanswered. Do bad boys like bad girls? Girls who dress alternatively, or listen to non-mainstream music, girls who value their independence, who are bold and fearless and obsessed with motorbikes, but girly as well?

I imagine 'bad' bad boys would prefer their girls naive and girly. Some 'good' bad boys might find bad girls to be more open minded or less sexually repressed, but I don't think they would all be attracted to that type of personality.

Would a guy like this be considered a nice guy in desguise?
I was talking to this guy, my parents loved him, he had goals, and he was a Christian. We talked for about a month and then he asked me to go to a movie with him, then he canceled on me. All while saying that I was pretty, funny, and he wanted to make me happy. But, as it turns out, I asked him about a girl he told me he was "just friends" with and he told me they just started dating. Right before he canceled on me. All while he continuously complimented me. I don't know what I'm supposed to be feeling. He wasn't even going to tell me he had a girlfriend. So it says a lot about his acting skills. And now he's saying that him having a girlfriend won't effect the way he treats me and he doesn't want our "friendship" to be ruined. Aquantences? Sure.

My first heartbreak was from a bad boy. He was tall, good looking, and drummer of a rock band.

We were apart when we went to college and he told me he couldn't afford to call me (that was before smart phones, Skype, and all those communication apps) so one day I thought I'd surprise him and I bought a phone card to call him... only to have a girl pick up his phone and tell me he wasn't there and then I heard the both of em laughing in the background. I've never felt this humiliated before. Took me over a year (or maybe more) to fully get over him cos he was my first love.

I've never talked or seen him anymore after that, altho later when Facebook came out, he tried reaching out to me and said he wanted to be friends but by then I've looong moved on and wasn't even interested in being friends anymore. Yyep!

Talking about the 'good' type of bad boys, I just think that they are really confident (which is always good) and they sort of act how they want to act, instead of bending themselves for any rules, which means that they have their own original way of thinking which is attractive and they are not afraid to show it. They also give the impression that they are realistic, i. e. not pretending to be who they are not, which is always a plus.

Next time you meet someone you know when you say hi keep a friendly facial expression and tone, but raise you're arm by your head and make a fist pointing at them and lean in as you say "hi, how are you". Compare the reaction people would have compared to if you had normal body language when you said "hi, how are you?".

Try it and see if it makes them uncomfortable or if you get different reactions. It should because you're communicating signs of aggression on a primal level and theyre subconsciously percieving you as a threat. Around 70 percent of what we communicate is non verbal, theyll believe your body language, facial expression, and tone over the words you say.

Its because those submissive tones and body language are submitting to you on a primal level and your subconcious thinks your dominant and doesn't respect their opinion. So its the same as if someone sucked up to you, would people usually respect them after that? Thats whats happening on a primal level. So they dont believe what theyre saying.

Thats why in public speaking you dont show submissive body language when giving a speech (putting your arms behind your back exposing your belly, etc.) or agressive body language ( pointing, thrusting chest out, etc) because if you submit to them theyll tune you out, and if you communicate aggression on a primal level theyll percieve you as a threat and instinctively be aggressive back and won't listen to you.

So they teach you to show relaxed confidence in your tone and body language (its the body language animals have when they just beat out other animals in competition for something and are the dominant ones) ... (Theres more)

So you're communicating that you're the dominant one and they should listen to your opinion on a primal level. (Which is stronger than if you tried to communicate that verbally and consciously to them)

Example 2:

Have you ever been horny or just haven't jacked off or had sex in a while and you see a girl and think i wanna fuck her, but you jack off or have sex then see the same girl again and think "eww what was i thinking" or something similar? Or you put up with stuff you normally wouldn't to get laid.

That is because when you're horny, you're thinking on a primal level you want to find a mating partner to have offspring with, and your primal instincts clouds your judgement to make that happen. Consciencely you're thinking i wanna get laid but your primal instincts are telling you to mate with someone. You can't think clearly until you cum.
