10 Things That Make Me Unique

Anonymous

There are others also, but I will mention those that are coming from the top of my head.

(In alphabetical order)

1) I am more aggressive and more upbeat than I was as a teen.

10 Things That Make Me Unique

Obviously I don’t mean I hit or something like that, with the word aggressive. But you get what I mean. Anyway, actually as a teen, I was very shy and low-profile –something that I still regret, but anyway I cannot turn back time. Also, the bad thing here, is that I still have this reputation among my relatives because they always called methe quiet one, since I was a kid. Now in my mid-20s I’m more aggressive and way less shy.

To give you an example, when I was 13-16 I was turning all red if a girl just spoke to me. Now I initiate conversations with chicks on my own, or even hit on them! To be honest, back then I never imagined I would be able to do this…but I’m proud about where I am now! I would say this is unique because usually it happens the other way round. I always have to say this, that since I turned 20 or so, each year passing by I’m becoming less and less shy. So I can only imagine where I will be by the time I will turn 30!

2) I am one of the few guys who are under the average male height, who don’t want to grow.

10 Things That Make Me Unique

Usually guys who don’t want to grow happen to be super tall, but in my case that’s not true. Actually one of my biggest fears is growing in height, even if I’m about to turn 25 now. Most say I won’t grow anymore, but still it’s not guaranteed. Anyway don’t ask me why I don’t want to. That’s another story, not for now.

3) I don’t want to get buffed unlike most guys.

10 Things That Make Me Unique

Many people would say, you are lazy (a person who is on the streets around 6 hours daily, lazy? Really?), but I'm not. That’s far from true. It’s something that it’s out of my interest, and also I don’t believe such body matches my overall personality.

4) I don’t worry about my future.

10 Things That Make Me Unique

I don’t want to settle down or get married. So this is something that doesn’t bother me and as a result I don’t worry about it. I don’t worry how I will be in five years from now, and whether I will have a steady job or not. It’s sad to see many young people being so anxious about it. Personally I’m just letting things to come as they are about to come. I believe I will do well, and everything is going to be OK, no matter what. And if not, I will try to make up for it, without panicking.

5) I shave on a daily basis.

10 Things That Make Me Unique

How is this unique? Because in our days, 90-95% among the guys who are in their 20s leave this small three-four day old beard. Only about 5-10% still shaves on a daily basis or every 2 days at least. Older guys who go clean shaven are way more though. So I guess for my age group it’s not common. I should also add that I’m one of the cursed guys who suffer from the thick facial hair syndrome. So I have to shave daily, if in case I want to look good.

6) I weigh less now than I used to as a teen.

10 Things That Make Me Unique

Most of my peers who are 24-25 now, back in the day when they were 14-15, many of them were as thin as a stick. I used to be obese then. When I come across some of them on the street, I see them being visibly heavier, even the thin as a stick ones. Funny thing is, me being the obese one when I was 14-15, now at 24-25 I became the skinny one.

7) My taste in music, based on my age group.

10 Things That Make Me Unique

My taste in music might not be unique for the average 45-60 year old person. But sure it is for the 25 year old person. I listen almost exclusively to albums that were released before when I was born, to the point where I relate more with those songs than those coming from the current generation. They speak to me better.

8. Never smiling at pictures, or make funny expressions.

10 Things That Make Me Unique

I never do that. I always choose to have a stoic face when I take pictures. No matter the situation, I choose to have the same stoic face. Why? Because my best looks are when I am like that. So why avoid it?

9) One of the few straight guys who notice the details of a woman’s appearance.

10 Things That Make Me Unique

Definitely not gay, I don’t question my sexuality. Even though many people might believe this, because of the fact I tend to notice details like hair color/nail color combinations (I even made a MyTake about it here ) or how thick her eyebrows are or not.

10) Strong memory.

10 Things That Make Me Unique

I have noticed I tend to memorize things very easily. Like albums in the correct track order, dates of birth or heights and weights from various people.

In Conclusion: Now if this had a positive or a negative effect in my life…well I would say positive. Only those unique people remained in history. Whether they were branded with a bad or a good name, the fact that they remained in history, is undeniable. Common people got lost in obscurity after their deaths.

PS: Credit goes to Fathoms77, for his suggestion about making such a MyTake.
