Men's Appreciation

Introduction:

I see a whole lot of talk about women's appreciation, all types of different movements for women so they feel special or "equal". I'm not saying it's wrong, or i'm not supportive, but lets just put that on hold right now. Can we have a day where we appreciate men for something? Can we have one day where we aren't the bad guys just for being men? Lets just take a moment, can we have at least one day of men's appreciation? Or is it too much to ask? Tomorrow you can go back to blaming us because you can't get a job or got fired, but today as men, we are going to ignore all of that and appreciate ourselves.

I will not be getting into politics because i will have to bite my tongue on a lot of things, and it would most likely start an argument, so we are going to leave politics out of this.

Power:

It's amazing how one word can hold so much power.

Man/Men.

We conquer, We provide, We protect, We supply, We endure, & the list goes on.

There's a lot of thing's we aren't appreciated for, nowadays people just look at someone's flaws,

They base that person off of their personal experiences,

They assume we're up to no good as if we don't desire things everyone else does.

Well, it's time we shut "they" up.

People may not agree with me, but you cannot replace man.

Beauty:

Alright this may sound a bit cheesy, but lets appreciate it anyway.

Men typically do not care about their looks as much as women do, but you've got to appreciate it.

We are just naturally good looking, as long as you take care of your health & body, you do not have to worry about looking good, You will naturally.

You do not have to try and look good doing difficult things, you could roll in dirt for hours, take your shirt off, and still have people talking about how good you look, Dirty and all.

We do not have to prove our beauty of adjust it in anyway, it comes naturally.

That's all for this take, it would have been longer but i bit my tongue on a few things.

Just to keep everyone happy, I did not offend any women in any way on this post, so if you are offended, that's your issue.

While I certainly do agree that it'd be nice to have more 'men's appreciation' posts... you seem to have missed the fact that men consist of more than just muscle mass. Things like cognitive factors such as very specific thought processing and focus/determination should've been included, at the very least. Otherwise, this feels like a piece that's objectifying men to being nothing more than (sometimes) attractive and with a high muscle mass.

I get that you wrote it up to kinda be on the same level as feminist 'body acceptance' shit but... that junk is garbage. Just aa heads up that should you write another take on this issue, try to make it a bit more in-depth.

I appreciate men (as a sex. Not all of them though. As I don't appreciate all women. There are a lot of men and women that I don't feel deserve an ounce of my appreciate or respect). The male physique, strength, drive, determination, intelligence, passion (yes guys have passion. Look at art, music, sonnets, love poems...) handiness and so forth. However I have to be honest. Some things you said were just a bit off in my opinion.

Agreed. in fact it's called International Men's Day and it's November 19. Usually there are guys that like to whine on International Women's Day that "There is no International Men's Day!" and every year I see people come in and tell them that they there is one. But without fail... every year they say it again.

That MIGHT be sarcasm but I'm pretty sure MOST people don't think that. Maybe that's 'wishful thinking' to some but I truly believe that.

More sarcasm? I mean you wouldn't try to raise one sex up by belittling and making rude remarks at another would you? Good. Yeah I know there are women that blame men for 'like everything' but most women I've known take responsibility for their lives including their failures. I don't blame the men who "whine" on international women's day. No one hears about international men's day, it gets little to no media attention at all so how do you expect men to know it exists? A lot of men don't know it exists. When it's International Women's Day, the media all talk about it, it's not the same for men.

I come off as a man hater but nothing can be farther from the truth, plus I'm the mother of a son so there's no way I can hate men. I've just suffered a huge load of bad relationships lol. There are a few men in my love that I love so much! My dad is basically my hero, my son is my everything, if it weren't for my son's father I technically would have my son so even though we're not together I still care for him, my brothers are always there for me, my guy friends are like brothers to me. Not to mention there is a guy I kinda sorta a little bit have my eye on and he's kind of hot! :)

I appreciate men because y'all are the kings of not taking jokes too fucking seriously, for fixing things that I have no idea how to fix, for being adorable and loving classic guy things like sports and cars n' shit, for opening or reaching things that I can't, for often being providers and protectors, for taking on some of the worlds most dangerous jobs - all of that shit.

Men earn respect with me as women do. I do not give on the basis of sex or gender. Some men are extremely decent, respectable fellows (As are some women) some are repulsive entitled shits (as are some women). I guess my lesson here is I will respect men (or women) on the basis of character not gender/sex.

When up under comparison one sex might be better at something overall. I think it's completely unrealistic to say that men can't be better than women at anything that isn't something as obvious as physical strength. Like wise women can be better overall at some things other than motherhood.

Maybe you're not finding the right women if you want it taken. Friendzoning is harsh but are you prepared for that person? Are you compatible with them? Have you put out behavior that might have warranted distrust? Looking at these questions may help you find dates and sex or whatever. (Works for girls as well)
