I don’t know how many times I have heard a past boyfriend say “I love you just the way the you are” then a few months later during his break-up speech hear “You are just too …..”. You can add just about anything from fat to clingy to religious. It is all the same.

I saw a question on GAG about this and it made start to think about this hypocrisy. The question was:

Is it a turn off when a girl is sensitive and cries more often than other girls?

Now why would someone who is in a serious relationship have to be concerned that her feelings are being considered a turnoff by the one person who is supposed to love her for who she is with no exceptions?

I have thought about it and I think I know the answer. Men will tell you they love everything about you if that means they can continue to use you in some way (sex, cooking, cleaning, etc). When that is over, the thing that was once so endearing becomes something you do too much or too often.

Let's not pretend males are the only shallow ones. Everyone is looking for the best possible match they can find. That's doubly true for women who naturally wish to find the single 'best' male they can, for awhile, until they have the desire to jump to a better one.

Males want to fuck every woman on the planet, every attractive one, at least. That's just how it is. The man wants to have sex with many women; the woman wants the man to stick around for protection, resources, and potential offspring. The man will lose interest in the woman if she's not fucking him enough. We see the exact same thing in other primate's behavior.

I think you're finally realizing that Disney lied to you. There is ALWAYS a condition. There is no such thing as unconditional love, so you'd better be offering something beneficial to your friends and lovers. Love is not so powerful as everyone says. Nope. Not a parents love. Not friends love. Not best friend's love. Not a lovers love. All of them can be broken if enough benefits or too many demerits. I learned that the hard way, too.

And, that 'men will just use you' caught my eye. Everyone uses everyone. That's how it goes. Especially women, and especially men. The only reason to do something is for a benefit. The only reason to be with or around someone is for a benefit. Everyone is using everyone. That's exactly true for friendships as well, which I call more like temporary alliances. Friendships are simply a collective of people using each other for various reasons like entertainment or socialization or knowledge. If a person has no use, then they are not worthy as a friend. For instance, a group of boys who grew up together and see each other like brothers. If one of them becomes addicted to drugs and becomes more of a hassle than a benefit, he is no longer friend material, because he is a liability. All relationships are ultimately shallow things. Any degree of natural empathy humans have is far overshadowed by the innate selfishness we all possess. Look around the world and nothing becomes more clear.

Of course we do, well at least most of us. I love my GF for who she is, not what she is. I love her quirks, how she shakes when I'm near or when I stroke her hand; I love how hard she tries to not be 'cringe', but inevitably, and subconsciously, she can't help it and loves when I'm that little bit cheesy with her.

I think we all know, and you too, that you've been treated like crap before you wrote this take. You're looking for some gratification that all men are tossers and hypocrites; but the brutal truth is we aren't.

Sounds to me like you need some time off.

I do, I can disdain a certain quirk but ultimately I'd love her. People have this mind set that to be in love everything must be perfect. They're are certain habits that could be developed that are deal breaking if that partner is not willing to try to accomadate. Maybe one partner snacks while they are eating, or leaves the door open while using the bathroom, it's about compromise and if that person won't try you shouldn't live in suffering for it and vice versa.

Ultimately I'd still love her ( even if I can't stand her :P)

Maybe you are inspired by the majority of men. Maybe it's just your locals. Maybe you heard many stories about relationships.

But I for sure do know what I want, who or what I love, stay true to myself. I am one with the grips and goals. We men can be as unstable as women, and it does not mean we are weak. We are all humans and not robots. We can feel pain, damage, depressions, hate, fury, sadness and every chaotic element - absolutely like a girl can do.

We are not all the same!

When you show me someone who loves every single thing about a person and has absolutely nothing they would tweak about them, I'll show you someone with some serious issues. Nobody likes absolutely everything about anyone else. It wouldn't be healthy if they did. People have their strengths and their flaws. When we truly love someone, the strengths outshine the flaws but they are still there. And what good would it do to point them all out, all it would do is cause pain because nobody is perfect and nobody can fix every one of their flaws and nobody wants someone they love to tell them they're flawed.

It goes both ways. I'm sure there's a Take somewhere blaming women for the same thing expect we apparently use them for money and free things. Sorry. It's just the cycle . I don't think ANYONE loves another for who they are 100%. I've had a girlfriend tell me she loved me for who I was but broke up with me saying she "couldn't change me". Isn't that just dandy?
