Flirtationship with my guy best friend (who also has a girlfriend,) where do we go from here?

So this guy and I have been friends for about four years, but only got close last year. This guy has a flirty personality, but with me, he's a little more interested. We started with a little flirtationship and it has grown into something more. He hugs me, "guides" me by touching my lower back, will poke/tickle me, play with my hair, leans on me, took a nap in my lap, "warms" me when I'm cold, and ect. I'm almost positive he likes me. And I like him too. On two different occasions, we've both separately gotten drunk and expressed our feelings for the other.

The problem is this guy has a girlfriend. She's awful to him. She treats him horribly, and very publically. One night, he and I were talking and he told me that he has had an on and off crush on me and that he's never done anything with me because he knows "I don't like him" and that he has too much respect for me to draw me into something awkward... but he already has... I really just don't know what to do. He's one of my best guy friends and we have a lot of classes together so I don't want to totally abandon him, and I'm scared to express my feelings to him outright because he told me he doesn't believe in the friendzone.

He doesn't believe in the friend zone means that YOU are not in it! Everything he's doing with his words and actions tells you he wants you, so GO for it! He obviously wants you to! Drunk people don't lie about their feelings, they can't! I'm in the same situation as you, except I have a bf and he has a gf, so it's super crazy and complicated... but sooo hot! He's probably scared, even though you both already admitted to feelings. I know lots of people who stay with bad relationships because they are scared to get out of them. If you want him, tell him or kiss him and let him deal with the gf. If you two get more involved he will most likely let her wither away. My crush has been in a long term relationship that he's told me is boring and he's told her it's over but she cries and he changes his mind. But we aren't serious yet, we're just flirting like crazy. He keeps telling me I sound like his gf and jokes about us being a couple, so I think he's floating the idea to see how I react. Good luck!

If he has a girlfriend, back off. It doesn't matter how horrible she is, it's never okay to cheat. Wait till he breaks up with her and then decide where to go from here.

I'm not really sure what you're question is. But being a part of someone cheating is never cool. I hope you don't pursue this and respect that relationship no matter how bad they seem.

If it's really that bad he should probably just end it. Then you could get together guilt free. But I don't advise influencing the out come in any way.
