Why are hot guys so moody and depressed?

There's this pretty hot guy in one of my summer classes and it seems like he changes everyday. Like somedays he will be talkative and smiles a lot but then other days he looks pissed off and doesn't say anything. A lot of the girls in our class have a crush on him but he's just so moody and I have no idea how he would react if I started talking to him. He dresses really well and drives a Maserati so his family must be really rich since he's just a student. Why wouldn't a guy like that smile more? I actually find it kind of hot that he's moody but just wondering.

Well it's probably just his personality. I'm not sure why people think wealth and beauty automatically equals happiness it doesn't. He could be going through a ton of life issues that everyone's decided to ignore because hey he's rich theirs no way he shouldn't be happy. I'm not that attractive but I get hit on from time to time and it's not always that enjoyable especially when you're just not interested in dating. You have random people that see your lack of interest as a personal attack when it has nothing to do with them. You have people cling to you that you don't really like but won't leave because apparently your not clear enough. You have friends that you can't really tell are friends (especially when you're rich and attractive). Oh and the flirting! I used to hate flirting and still do a little bit because it felt like a continuous lie. Girls dying laughing at stuff that you know isn't funny. People listening of your positive attributes when they've barely even spent time with you. It's fake and you constantly feel like no one likes you and they just love the fantasy they've created of you. I'm not sure if that's how this guy feels but I know that's how I felt. And the worst part is you can't complain to anyone because they're always like your rich and attractive quite feeling sorry for yourself. He's probably not even that moody of a guy he's probably just doing it to weed out the fake people.

As you said every girl wants him. That doesn't mean he wants attention from every girl. He'll have days when he's being a nice normal person (himself). Other days he probably thinks girls that he's not interested in are coming on to him strong and getting the wrong impression from him being nice the other day so he ignores you, blows you off, might be a little rude, etc. To him that's his way of saying he's not interested. To you it's a challenge so you want him even more. What you described sounds like a day in my life... The first few girls of the day run smooth, but after a while it gets annoying and I kind of loose my patience. It wears you down more some days than others.

he drives a maserati lol. this guy has 0 interest on people in your class. he may even think some of you are gold diggers. he may have the issue of thinking people only want him for his money. you don't know how it is to have something that makes your personality completely invisible for some people
