i think in most cases its not good.
but wen I first met my ex
i wasn't exactly as interested as he was.
there was something there
so he kept pursuing me [not constantly but enough to get my attention]
eventually we became official
however, I have a lot more negative stories about a guy being too persistent
and obviously did not turn out well
so it depends on how interested the girl is
and how much the guy is persistent.

i wouldn't keep bothering her, if she doesn't repsond, just move on. if you keep bugging her it makes you look annoying and needy.
life's not like a romantic comedy movie where her irritation and avoidance suddenly transform into affection.
if a girl's interested in you, she'll make time for you. if she doesn't make time for you, it's because she's not interested, or because she's a tease who likes messing with your head. either way, you're wasting your energy.
ask her out two or three times. if she doesn't make time for you, it's time for you to move on.
Well there's a clear difference between being persistent and being obsessed. I think if you take the time to let her know you still like her or that you do like her in subtle ways, she will notice your efforts. But if you've been told "no" numerous times and yet you still prevail, then it's pretty much time to give up.

Only in the movies. In real life, if she doesn't like you then there isn't much sense trying more than once or twice.
