Usually means that your just a booty call and they have another girl on the side who they respect and text "Good morning beautiful" or " How was your day?" those types of things. When a guy text you hiiiiiii and heeeeeeeyy (they don't really care about you... there is someone else). This is just personal experience from being played by a military man who married another girl while he was dating me. So yep just my opinion. Maybe I am just bitter.. I don't know.
Not necessarily. When I was younger I used to text "halo there", "ello ello ello" "hilo there" "hey hey". That was also when I was 15 and it had nothing to do with if were interested or not.
He probably just has nothing to say. Better to leave the text alone until they have something real to say. You won't be wasting your time with conversations like

If I was him I would have gave up, no need in wasting time trying to talk to someone that never answers back and has to think about someone saying hi, I think it is you that has a lack of communication skills. Stop being small minded!!
