It depends on the magnitude and frequency of the favors. If it's constant or if the favors are big favors, I would suspect he may be interested in you.

Yes, and it's understandable. They shouldn't compromise themselves however and they should do it because they want to not to carry favour with the love interest.
Yes for sure. When I had a crush on a bunch of people ranging from elementary school I would continually do favors for them and I still do today but a lot less than before since most of the favors are tedious to do.
