Why did he block me for NO reason?

What happened was I used to date this guy (For privacy's sakes, I will call him Tom), however, when he asked for sexual favors and I refused, we fell apart. I could not believe her was looking for something casual, when he promised a relationship.

One day when I went on Facebook, I saw on one of his friend list this gorgeous young guy, and without thinking, I added him (Let's call him Shane). Shane didn't know me regardless, but he added me quickly. Apparently, he was very good friends with Tom and they are close. However, our conversations got really deep. Despite having 1000 friends, he responded to me often and we talk a lot. I asked him if he dated, he responded he is single, and in turn, he asked me if I was single.

We talked for a few days without Tom knowing, then I asked Shane out. He agreed and when I saw him, he was dressed nicely and he seemed very happy when I saw him. We then went to dinner, he smiles a lot at me, had a lot to talk to with me and had a very open body language. We even extended the "date" to the park and he walked me home. We then exchanged phone numbers.

Later, when I messaged Tom, he was depressed and drinking, he told me. Then later, he blocked me. I still talked to Shane and he congratulated me on my achievements, and he was sorry about not replying. He did not reply after that. I did message him 3 more times, asking if he was ok before I totally ignored him. Two weeks later, I found that Shane blocked me! I am crushed!

This is how we guys are dear. We sometimes sacrifice women for sake of friendship.
Shane thought that it isn't a good idea to have relationship (physical or emotional) with a girl who was actually a Tom's crush.
Shane's relationship with you would have easily hurt his dignity and ego which in turns would have affected friendship.
Men have simple rules. Why should i complicate relations with my friend for sake of a girl? She isn't a last girl on this planet? I can find many.
So BROCODE followed. He blocked you cause it would have been difficult to explain you face to face.
Some guys may try to force to break whatever relationship exists with girls at times. Most guys will try to respect each other feelings instead of clashing with each other.
" YOU DON'T FUCK WITH MY GIRL AND I WON'T FUCK WITH YOURS" is natural understanding between male friends.
If shane had truly liked you.. then he wouldn't have blocked you anyway. He would have risked this for you whatever the consequences may be.
But he compromised which clearly shows that he was just interested in banging you like tom. So it wasn't difficult for him to block you out.
May be after some day.. He might unblock you and explain the things out. Who knows...

I know I have the SISCODE, however, what keeps me wondering is why Shane would block me months after Tom and I have a fight and after we went out on a date. I like another guy (Michael) more, but I want to keep possibilities open. It really hurts me. We haven't talked for weeks and he blocks me :( What makes you think Shane wanted to bang me like Tom did?

I am not sure about banging part though... But guys are quite opportunistic and it is much easier in west to have casual physical relationship with women for many guys.. Not generalising.
Or just look at the other side. He blocks you isn't it?
It is highly possible that shane wasn't aware much of your estranged relationship with tom.
May be he didn't had any idea and thought " hmmm.. this chick approached me first.. So let's explore"
So things happened between you both. Tom came to know about this and he might have protested against not only you but with shane too

May be shane himself had mentioned to him " hey i am dating this girl. Do you know her? Saw in your friends list" Or tom may have asked him " I saw her in your mutual friends list. Do you know her?"
And bam! He might have came to know this way and the story ended.
Tom might have too mentioned about everything that happened between both of you. So shane thought " LOL this is complicating. Now it must end anyway"

I think the other users here have pretty much summed up my thoughts on the matter. I admire the respect and friendship between those guys. This is why I don't like that "Don't kiss and tell" bullshit. If I kiss a girl I tell everyone I know about it, so that if someone I know sees her kissing another guy they'll let me know.

It sounds like Everyone lost out in the end because with you going on a hot date with Shane and Tom home, not knowing what was going on with his bestie and an Ex Bestie girlfriend, they somehow conjured up a pinkie swear pact To-------Both block you out of their lives for good.
When it comes to friendship, True Friendship, you can't beat that, no matter how "dressed nicely, IronMaiden, you even might of been. It appears, as "Crushed" as you might be, that they Both Used the Same----Body language.
Let it be a lesson in love when it comes to two buds and that a Budding romance sometimes doesn't grow the way you would want it to... This one backfired.

The thing is, please respond, Tom and I had a really bad fight after Shane and I went out. I never told Tom about Shane, but Tom did grow suspicious to why I added him on Facebook. Shortly, Tom blocked me. And then, Shane and I talked a little bit over a few weeks and he started getting unresponsive. Then he blocked me? Do you think Shane is disinterested or he WAS?

Yes, move on... And remember, being on Fb for you have them on there, talk gets around with messages and some sort of "Newsfeed" nonsense and through the grapevines, somehow something went terribly wrong for they Are Both blocking you now together and are friends still in the end... xx

But Tom... how did he know? Tom did ask that question about how I knew Shane and why I added him. I replied that I wanted more friends in the same field as me (aviation) and he said fair enough. And afterwards when Shane and I hung out, (he even said he would go to the movies with me he promised) I messaged Tom and he said he is depressed and drunk, and wanted sex. What is going on?

Shane told Tom about you and they couldn't come to an agreement. So Shane, out of respect, for Tom blocked you. Basically if Tom couldn't hit it, then he doesn't want his homie (Shane) to hit it either.

Of what you wrote it sounded like he was interested atleast. But obviously not enough, because then he wouldn't have blocked you. I think the best thing is to try and move on. They both sound like duchebags. There are better guys out there. Ones that doesn't do childish think like blocking people for seemingly no reason. A real man should at least tell you why they can't see you anymore
