I posted this story on a different question: I was in denial about a crush I had on this girl. I was at a movie theater and I swear I could SMELL her, and I'm not talking about perfume. Not only that I tracked the smell to its source, which was the jacket I was wearing. I remembered that I had lent her this jacket a few weeks ago and it had been sitting in my truck ever since. I was bummed she wasn't there, and I pretty much knew I was crushing after that.
So I disagree with 67% of this site. If a guy compliments your natural scent he likes you. I'm sure there are exceptions, but if you're looking for a general rule that's it. If a guy truly knows your natural scent/body wash, then he likes you.
Unless he is trying to get into your pants, but those guys don't REALLY know your scent. They are just tossing out the first "unique" compliment that comes to mind.
He might just really like the scent.
I don't go out of my way to sniff them because I think that's weird, but I always notice when a girl smells nice. I don't usually comment on it though, smelling someone seems a little too intimate. It's not something I would use for a casual compliment.
My guy friend said that he loves when his crush smells good, so there might be a pretty good chance he has a thing for you.. if not then he definitely thought about it at that moment! :)

Well, lets put it this way, I wouldn't say that to 2 people. 1. Guy friend 2. A girl I thought of as just a friend... seems a little, flirty, don't you think?
Sometimes but I know most of the prettiest fragrances and will tell a woman that I am not even attracted to that she smells lovely.
Or maybe he just likes the scent.
Means it smells nice
