Guy's Behavior

I like her, but she says she wants to stay single.

Okay, so I'm a senior in high school.

And I've had this crush on a girl since January, We've gotten incredibly close over this year and we have a ton in common. I'll go to her house and we're good friends. She's had a boyfriend and broken up with him in the course of our friendship and I've helped her though it and what not but the more I talk to her, the more I realize that she's perfect for me. I've told her the way I've felt and I've asked her out towards the beginning of our friendship and about a month ago. Each time she says that she just wants to be single, that she doesn't want to date in high school. She's dated this one guy that has more than likely ruined her idea of relationships and is probably the cause of why she feels this way.

My question is: What do I do? Do I try harder to let her know that if we were together, things would be different? Do I just stay content with us being friends?

i just don't know what to do with myself sometimes. In our world, so many people my age are immature and the one person that I've found that's not this way doesn't want a relationship. I know that she has an interest in me, we flirt constantly. I just need some advice.
