2 Years ago a guy & I met and we became instant best friends. There was always chemistry between us but I was going through a breakup at the time so we were just focusing our friendship. In the two years I slept over at his house +/- twice a week, in the same bed, but we never kissed or had sex, we would just watch movies & talk until we fell asleep. At parties etc. we were always in eachothers arms, everyone thought we dated. I knew he had feelings for me & he knew I had feelings for him, but we never talked about it. I guess because we didn't want to screw up our great friendship.
2 weeks ago, he & his friends were at my house & we were all really drunk and suddenly the two of us started kissing. He then called me aside and said ''this isn't how i wanted our first kiss to be, i wanted to make it special''. I then said to him that we were both drunk, that it doesn't matter... that the next time would be ''new''. Then he said to me ''i have strong feelings for you, but i can't date you because you're more successful than i am & i can't provide you with anything.''. I then said to him that I don't need his money... I just need love, protection & emotional support etc. He then got up and said that he can't talk to me now because we're both drunk, he will meet me at the mall the next day and we can talk while we're sober.
The next day came and he ignored me, didn't make contact at all. The day afterwards (friday), he invited me to a pub with him and his friends. He ignored me all evening and when I called him aside, he told me that he needs a night without me so it's best if I go, and that he will call me that Sunday. Well, he never called. That next Tuesday, I sent him a message on Facebook, just basically telling him that I don't like how he's handling things, that I thought our friendship was strong enough to deal with. He never read the Facebook message. It's been 2 weeks and he's been ignoring me. I need some opinions. I don't know what to think.
