Why is it that men in my experience seems to handle breakups better? They seem to move on faster or start flirting with girls just right after a breakup. How do men act when they get sad? Personally I will be sad for a long time and the last thing I would to would be to hit on another guy.
I think the ones who handle it well never cared in the first place, that's why it was so easy for them to move on. girls get attached more, but guys get attached to less women they date but fall really really deep when they do. I've seen men cry over women they loved. the ones they did truly love, they didn't just move on to the next party like everything was cool. when my uncle almost got a divorce his whole personality changed, he was so sad. so that's why if I were to see a guy out partying and gallivanting after a breakup, I would question how deep his feelings were for the past girl. sure some people do try to distract themselves from a breakup but most of the time I think they just weren't that into her. there is a difference between how much a guy cares about his wife vs how much he cared about the girl he dated for 8 months when he was 23 if that makes any sense
They ignore the pain, hide it and act like nothing's happened. They get on girls to distract themselves and keep themselves busy to avoid thinking about you and the break up. Whilst you heal slower and eventually get back on track, his hidden pain slowly seeps into his life and he eventually feels the pain much later on, when you're feeling better. Basically, they hide and delay the pain only for it to hit them like a train down the line whilst women deal with the pain instantly and then heal.
I think it's because they have a easier time compartmentalizing their emotions and lean towards being more goal-oriented. The past is the past for them and they will go for the next catch so to speak, even though they might not be 100% over the last break up. Of course, not all guys are like this.

No I don't think so. Girls generally have much more support from their friends and family, and they get to talk about it anytime they want. Besides, girls can take a night out and get all the attention they want in seconds, is that easy for them. Not because they don't care, but because they probably are overwhelmed with the support and sympathy, and all that helps.
When a guy is in love is a different story. I may be only speaking for myself but when I got heart broken I isolated from everyone else. I even looked like a lunatic sometimes talking to myself, I just disconnected from the world, barely went out. Those where the worst months of introspection I've ever had. It wasn't until I hit the gym again and started focusing more on my hobbies that I started to gain balance and come to my senses.

They handle breakups the same way they handle everything else in their lives. Men compartmentalize everything.
There is one little box in a man's head where the pain of a breakup goes. Everything else functions as normally. This behavior is good for returning to normal life quickly. It's bad if you never deal with the pain but just let it accumulate over time.
Depends on the nature of the breakup. If he initiated it, he'll be over it soon. If he was deeply in love, he'll take one of the two routes:
a. Find a rebound girl pretending he's over you. Once things start to get serious with rebound girl, he'll annoy her by being overly sentimental about you. Rebound girl will break up with him.
b. Stay single until he's ready to date again.
Men are taught from childhood that their own feelings are to be ignored.

Sleeping with other girls makes men feel better so if that's an option they will take it.
Them dating or having sex has nothing to do with being over their ex.

I don't know, I handle it well tbh. Some people are just more emotional than others, and it takes them longer to get over divorce or separation. Not all women get sad over it either, but most do.

I was looking for true love but she had high expectations from me. She wanted a rich boyfriend who buys her expensive gifts. I broke up with my girlfriend few days back. Women get over it easier--which seems natural, since finding a new SO is overwhelmingly easier for them. You simply ran into a small percentage of guys who get over it easy, mainly because he never actually cared.
