Do guys like getting sappy goodnight texts too?

Okay so there are a ton of posts (Tumblr, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) about how much girls love getting sent long text messages in the middle of the night so they have something cute to wake up to. But I'm curious... Do guys like waking up/going to bed to long cutesy messages too? Like the "I know you're sleeping but... you're amazing" type texts or the "goodnight love <3 sweet dreams" messages?

I doubt it unless they're at that special moment of their relationship. Other than that, men like short, sweet and to the point.
For example, an hour ago, i texted my Boo ,"Goodnight,(petname) :* I love you." He responded back, "Love you too".
It's just that simple. You don't know if his phone volume is still up and ur long 5 page text wakes him up and he responds grudgingly back. No, just one "ding" will be good and he'll still have a smile on his face in the morning

My husband likes them, but for us, we were long distance for months at a time and will be again, so it's a little different for us. It's not just a lovey dovey thing, it's also a nostalgic thing for us, and he knows I express myself best through writing and if I write something to him like that I'm putting my whole heart into it and he appreciates it.
