Because it says, "Look. Other girls want me, because I have something to offer, boy I bet you're wondering why you didn't want me" if they find a lot of girls. It's a way of trying to make you jealous and go, "Why did I leave him? So many girls obviously want him, so he must have something good to offer." Believe it or not, that can be effective. It's the same concept you'll see in some comedies: when a male gets married, goes to a bar, and suddenly he's being hit on left and right by women. If a male has a female, it shows other females that he is desirable. Not all the time, but generally. In addition, even if it's not that, chasing after as many girls as possible is the default male mode.
And, a very big misconception which occurs between males and females is the differences in how they approach finding a significant other, which I see so often. Females are much more one-on-one centered. Essentially, this stems from our differences in reproduction abilities. Sperm is nearly infinite, so we lose nothing by--and, our biology enforces us to attempt to fertilize as many eggs as possible, i. e., getting with as many females as possible, which means males do not have to determine the best possible match for them: simply a willing and somewhat attractive female is often enough--however, eggs are a finite resource, and, like in economics, if a product is in short supply, it has a higher price. This means females take caution in determining which male gets a shot at that egg, because if they get an undesirable male, then get pregnant, that means 9 months of wasted reproduction time for them--whereas, males lose no or very, very little reproduction time if they get a less-than-quality partner. Today, that doesn't matter *as much*, but it's still a driving instinct.
Our instincts are very, very old. 20k years+. Back in that time, humanity was struggling to survive, and our numbers were much, much, much lower than they are now, which meant that reproducing as much as possible was very important to the survival of the human species. At some point, males were infused with the instinct to bang as many females as possible to propagate the species, and females were infused with the instinct to pick only the best of males.

Yeah, I spent weeks crying my eyes out, and 18 months before I felt like I was finally over her. Especially knowing she was seeing a new guy 4 days later.
So, it's definitely not all guys.
Its like this if your applying to jobs and you really llike one specific one doesn't mean I won't apply to others in case I dont get the first one. Guys generally recover from break ups by getting pussy I think. It's why all those hollywodd films where a guy is hung up on his ex and his freinds get him a girl so he forgets about her.
Maybe 'cause genuinely caring about a woman has left him hurt and now he's trying to get his sexual needs met without risking another heartbreak. Kinda makes sense, really. But sooner or later, if he wants a serious relationship, he'll have to take the risk again.
I think that's just the way some guys deal with breakups :/ And I don't think they really love someone if they start hitting on any girl they find tbh, just my opinion. I find boys are really confusing when they do stuff like that lol.
Those guys don't like to be a lone and they are insecure and they like attention. Most likely the guy never loved his girlfriend to begin with he just wants to see if she will take him back to boost his ego

I don't know why they would want to get back after a break-up, but they are inevitably seeking an alternative partner in place of their previous once, hence the frenzy.
It's because they feel alone so they try to find a replacement. Don't assume what someone feels just because of their behavior. You'll find out later in life that if you do that you'll be wrong most of the time. And if you think that a guy can't love an ex just because he says someone's hot you need to reconsider your thought process. Relationships in which the guy or girl isn't even allowed to look at the opposite sex is doomed for failure. That's way too controlling.
Because a) you can love more than one person at a time, and b) like everybody says... the guy is free. Nothing worse than being trapped in a relationship with somebody you love but you want to have sex with others. That means that you caught between not hurting your SO's feelings and wanting to sleep with others. Either way something will give.

Smeagol is free!!It's a way I get over her. No matter what, she'll be the only girl I think about before I sleep. I really won't care about all these other girls. It's my way of getting rid of you in my head.
Realizing there are other fish in the sea is part of getting over it and they're looking to make connections to fill the void. It seems only natural to want that space filled and to look for comfort and validation.
I think us guys do it because we miss our first girlfriend or or former girlfriend. Now does that make it right? ABSOLUTELY NOT. But we still do it... For one of my friends he did it so just incase he and his ex got back together then broke up again he would have " " back up... Now I know you girls don't want to hear that but honestly that's what I feel the truth is. And I get this stuff from my 12 year old head... 😂😁😁
the ball is off the chains, they are free to roam like dogs and sleep around endlessly.
I feel like when guys do that its a sign of insecurity,,, like really are you not that confident that the kitty kat will just come to you? Are you afraid of being alone? The male species is so overrated
