Each person has their own personal places they find attractive and like to touch. However, I think there are some places that are commonly preferred and perceived as intimate. These will often be tender or sensitive places on the body that we tend to guard naturally. Some of them include the under side of the chin, the palms of the hands, the inner thigh or back of the knee, the back of the biceps and the stomach/sides around the ribs area. I can see how these places might make someone feel insecure when touched here because these are places overly protected and rarely touched by anyone but ourselves. I think subconsciously we touch these places to share that intimacy of being one. If the insecurity is based on perceived imperfections in yourself try to remind yourself he is touching you because he wants to touch you. He finds it appealing. If he didn't he wouldn't. Often we even find the things you perceive as imperfections to be delightful.
Sounds so suspiciously close to my girlfriend and I but she actually wishes she had more fat in those areas so I won't question you haha.
Personally I do it because it's a way to touch a girl sensually without it being too sexual. We'd love to just grab your butts or play with your breasts all day but some girls aren't comfortable enough for that so the stomach is the next best thing.
