Why does he like to listen to my heartbeat?
I can't say I know for sure but maybe he likes you? One time when I was sat on my boyfriends lap and he led down with me like that he put his finger inbetween my chest and told me he could feel my heartbeat. I was sort of torn between thinking "He's just trying to find an excuse to get closer to my boobs" and "Aww, he wants to feel my hear beat".
I led my head on his chest and realised I could hear his heart beat too, it was kind of comforting so maybe that can be it.

friends with benefits can be very affectionate and sweet. But you can't judge if he wants to be a couple that way. I had one who took me out with his friends and family, cuddles and talked all day, etc... and he still didn't want to be in a relationship. Talk to him if you're getting attached.

This is a biological thing- when we're babies, our parents/guardians (whoever) always carries us and our heads are on their chest, right where their heart is. So it makes sense that he would enjoy listening to your heartbeat.

Why's that the worst part? Hearing a heartbeat is simply reassuring. It's a natural thing to be calmed by a heartbeat.
