Gorgeous and beautiful are definitely better than being called hot or sexy. However, I think cute is something else all together. Whereas those other words are strictly about appearance, cute also says something about personality.
In any case, hot and sexy are more superficial compliments. Guys would call some random model "hot", but beautiful has more meaning to it.
If you wear tight short pants and do rough makeup, also may be black shiny clothing's I would not mind to call you hot or sexy. Also may be I'll wink at you. But if I call you beautiful or gorgeous, that means Im so stunned to see you that I'll never again glance at you openly.
I like all those types of compliments. But I like being hot and sexy a little less. Being called gorgeous, stunning, beautiful, very attractive and cute are all meaningful to me. Hot and sexy sounds like they are referring to my body whIle the other terms mean they are complimenting me as a whole. Just my opinion.
Gorgeous and beautiful to me means your face is amazing as well. Whereas hot and sexy to me generally means your body is nice the face not so much. Anyway, that's my definition of it.
i'd want him to say whatever he believes, if it's "ur above average but have a hot body" then so be it!

hot and sexy, i coming from someone you know is a respectfull person can be a huge compliment cause he is saying from he's hearth and not from he's penis, if its from a stranger then not really, being call cute can be good and bad it depends on the person i find cute, attractive but other may not, and gorgeus and beutifull even tho good compliments sometimes guy used as a safe option to say you look good however, its still a compliment
On the 1-10 scale I consider gorgeous/beautiful to be a 9 or 10, while hot/sexy as 7 or 8 and cute a 6
there is no difference unless the guy/girl saying it is just horny and is wanting to let you know he /she can be with you if you want them.
This is just a generalization, but...
Hot/Sexy = "I'd smash"
Gorgeous/beautiful = "I'd be happy to flaunt her"
It's much better actually. If people always call you gorgeous you can be pretty sure that you're gorgeous.
For a majority of people, they are pretty much interchangeable.
Basically girls complain if they get called one too much and the other not enough. Neither is really bad, they're just different.
