Should I panic if I found a makeup concealer stick in my boyfriends bag?

Hi y'all,

so this is an odd one. My boyfriend went to the bathroom this morning and I wanted to leave a cute note card in his bag for him to find when he's at work. I opened the bag's smaller section to find a make-up concealer stick... which made me a little confused. It's also been used quite a bit. I thought perhaps he bought it one day to cover a zit or something but as far as I'm aware every time he's had a reddish one he never seemed to be bothered by it so that's why I strongly doubt that it's his. But then who's is it?

also, maybe just a very small thing, just a few weeks ago he asked me to pass him his deodorant from his bag, same section. When I was getting the deodorant for him the makeup stick wasn't there at the time. And now that im thinking about it, since that time he's been taking his phone with him every time he leaves the room; he always used to leave it on the bedside so that's new as well. Or maybe I'm just overthinking it now.

I'd never accuse him of cheating normally because our relationship is going well, I never even had such a thought until now. Should I ask him about it, or should I leave it? What's the right thing to do? Am I just overreacting? I really need some opinions! :(

You cannot possibly draw any conclusions of cheating based on a concealer stick in his bag. Let's say that he WAS cheating though. Why would he have the girl's concealer stick? That is so random as to be highly improbable. The likelihood is that he got it to use for himself because he was somewhat self conscious on a given day. He probably doesn't usually carry it, he keeps it somewhere. The day you found it in his bag was the day that he carried it to use. The next time you looked in his bag it was back wherever he usually keeps it.

Ask him about the stick. There should be no big deal about that. He might be a little embarrassed but it's better than him being thought of as a cheat with zero evidence. I'm not saying that he hasn't cheated, he might have. What I'm saying is that the concealer stick is not evidence of cheating.

What I've found is that if you want to know something, sometimes the best way to find out is to just ask. I have used my wife's concealer maybe 3-4 times in the past year to minimize a zit. I get breakouts often and it usually doesn't bother me. Occasionally I'll get one that really gets ugly. My job requires me to do a lot of speaking to groups, so I don't want everyone focused on an inflamed red blob on my forehead.

Leave the note for him, and then ask him. If he starts squirming, then maybe something is up, but don't jump to conclusions.

My boyfriend years ago had found a lipstick 💄 in his jean jacket pocket, while I suspecting he was cheating later I found out he was. Be cool and talk about it importantly keep your eyes n ears open watch him closely as your talking n he's talking also after wards. If you don't know the clues then google it

You're handling this a lot better than me, I'd freak lol. Honestly it is really suspicious. Why wouldn't it be in the bag if it was his?

I'd ask him. See his reaction. See if he stutters, acts nervous or doesn't have a prompt response. That's just what I would do.

it's probably his, I wouldn't even mention it, if he's self conscious about his skin to the point of wearing make up, his girlfriend asking about it will only heighten the issue, so what if he uses cover up, I don't know what I'd do without mine

men who won't leave their phone are cheating, or at the minimum hiding something. This is not subject to opinion it is fact. He is doing something shady. It might not be cheating, but something isn't right.

You need to bring it up with him, obviously. But the best advice I can give you is this - DON'T LIE TO HIM. Don't even try giving the note story. It's bullshit and he'll sniff it a mile away. And guy who's girlfriend lies to him, isn't going to get the truth.

Actually I leave him notes in his house quite often for him to find and this time thought I'd leave one in his bag, so your accusations of me lying are uncalled for. You're right sayin he might now believe that and think I was snooping but that's not true. I've never scooped around whilst being with him but now I think maybe I should've.

Not sure what would be worse for you, him hiding a girl, or him "being " the girl.
I dont know of any guy who would have any kind of make up (excluding maybe hair gel and some sunscreen or face cream) in his bag. Sounds susoect.
Maybe im wrong, but this needs some explanation.

A lot of Dudes take there phone and to the toilet. Hell im on one right now. But the concealer thing might be a little strange. I doubt he's cheating since girls don't usually let their lovers borrow there makeup. He might have actually just been wearing it. But perhaps keeps your eyes peeled.

Maybe you should talk to him about it. don't judge or anything until you have answers. and I wouldn't recommend you trying to make him jealous that's high school and petty. I know it's corny what I'm going to say. but follow what your heart.

Definitely don't ignore it, him taking his phone with him every time is so bloody sus. Talk to him about it and the concealer, and if the concealer isn't his or for him then stick it up his ass

Hmm, it may it's his zit, but I think it's good to ask, don't do it in an accusing way, just ask him casually and see where it goes, hope this helps!

If he is cheating, it will be revealed sooner or later. I say let it slide, act normal now and if you see any more suspicious behaviour just talk to him.
