Are we just friends or more than friends?

Basically im completely clueless in the dating field so I have no idea if I am reading things right or not so any advice would be really great! :) I'll try to keep it short.

We are both 22 and known each other a couple years.
We text a lot (often everyday, sometimes less if we are busy).
He went out of his way to meet up with me and hung around with me all day, then we went and had dinner.
He suggested meeting up a couple of times and regularly says things like 'you can come along if you like', 'youre welcome to come' or says we should go there/do that.
We met up for another day and he asked the next day if I wanted to meet the following week again.
We talk about the future a lot, what we want to do when we finish college, he says he will let me know if he's going somewhere traveling if i want to join.
Lots of eye contact.
We have heaps in common.
When we were talking while having dinner we talked for a while about couples we know or work with and what we find cool for couples to do or not.

He's does have a lot of female friends though so maybe this is normal for him?
I really don't know what to read from him, because when we hang out it's like friends but I sort of feel like there is something going on?

I think that whatever you are you seem pretty close. I think there's a possibility you are, or could become more than friends. One way to tell is if he is talking about other girls as in a romantic interest. I think if he never mentions girls he's dating or similar, the chances that he is interested in you is higher. That doesn't mean that if he does mention them you are certainly only friends but I think that if he has any interest in you in that way, he will avoid tslking about other girls in thst way.

Thanks for your reply! So far he hasn't talked about other girls in a romantic way, except mentioning seeing an ex at work and when something funny went wrong on a first date he was on a couple of years ago, would this be an indicator of just friends do you think?

if he left town and you couldn't go with him. this relationship won't work well. long relationship doesn't work most of the time.
