Why do guys always tease me about my height?

Im 5'2 and Im 18 and I don't even think im that short. I was standing next to this guy in class & he was like "damn your so short" and he just smiled & laughed and somehow a lot of people heard and laughed too. Also in the same day this guy I talk to was like "imma put your backpack on that shelf so you can't reach with your small self"
Girls never comment on my height only guys do.
It happens almost everyday & i was just wondering why?

Girl I know it! I am also 5"2 and petite. Guys always mention it. Though honestly I tend to find those same guys in my inbox later... So I think they are just trying to "put us down" (tee-hee... Pun intended) as a way to flirt. Like by telling us that it's kinda like they are negging us and saying we aren't good enough in an attempt to play ajrd to get or something.

You're not that short. On the short side, but not abnormal at all. It's just something to say, as it seems most guys don't know how to talk to girls. If you want to go down the darker path, it could be that guys like making girls feel small and inferior to boost their own ego... but most likely, it's just something to say.

Its harmless. My husband teases me. Like when I can't reach something in the cabinet over the stove. I say can you get me something, he says oh man! But I know he's messing with me. My father teased my mother too. He is 6 2 she was 5 2. His nickname for her was shorty.

it depends on which country you live in, the average for mine is 5'6 for females and your 4" lower than that, guys where I am is 5'9 so your height would be considered short. The teasing is just for fun or jokes.

I get the exact opposite. I'm 6'1 and get reminded I'm tall constantly. I feel your pain (to some extent) but think on the bright side, you'll never have a guy who's shorter than you 😊😊

Because they are immature and/or, just something to comment and talk about. Ignore it and don't let it get to you. There's nothing wrong with your height and guys will still be attracted to you. Think of it as "just a phase" because it won't be like this all your life. Short is good!

Funny but short guys have it far worse. A taller guy would date shorter girls but very rarely does a short girl be willing to date a guy her height or shorter.
