Guys, I confessed my feelings to a shy guy, he didn't reply?

I confessed my feelings to a shy guy through text and he didn't reply. He gave all the signs of liking me for months:

- staring at me when he thinks I'm not looking (my friends caught him doing this several times so I'm not imagining it)
- finding excuses to hang around me all the time but not saying anything just staring at me from afar
- his friends used to tease him whenever I was around
- he blushed when I tried to talk to him the first time in person and became tongue tied
- we had prolonged eye contact a lot of times

We don't know each other at all and have only talked twice however both the times he was kinda rude to me. My friends are saying that maybe he doesn't really like me I mean how hard can it be to text back a reply even for a really shy guy? I'm an extremely shy girl and I gathered up the courage to tell him... he could've at least said no... instead of leaving me wondering...

How long have you waited for a response?
As a shy guy myself I would get rather stressed out if I received a love declaration lile this especially if I liked the girl back. My brain and heart would be working in top gear to gather the courage to compose the perfect response. If it is not entirely perfect there is a chance that his brain would persuade him into thinking that no response is better than whatever he came up with.

I had already thought about what you have explained and I can understand this, being a shy girl myself. However, how am I supposed to get a straight answer? No response makes it more confusing... I mean doesn't he get it that I might take this as a no and move on?

It's a tough situation... 2 weeks is surely a long time - I would suggest just waiting it out, see if the eye contact continues. Maybe some day he will get the courage to finally give you a response.
I also agree with what some of the other guys say - it might be the meer fact that he doesn't see a text message as a method of expressing love. He might even have thought it was a prank. If you don't have the abundance of time the best way for a solution to this whole thing would be to confront him face-to-face how ever hard that may be.

Yeah I'd also thought about the fact that maybe he thinks that it's a prank or something. I was thinking of calling him but I'm kinda uncomfortable doing it because he didn't reply.

If he's really a shy guy, you should take the initiative and ask him out in person. We are long over that guys should ask girls out and not vice-versa.

But if you see he's not interested then it's not worth pursuing him, you will eventually find a guy who's interested in you and will try to do anything to get you. :)

Yeah he's definitely a very shy guy... all my friends think so too.. you should read the details I've given in the question... I kinda feel dumb now confessing my feelings to him... but I just had to tell him cause I couldn't hold it in forever... I really thought that he would say yes...

Like I didn't mention it in the question but I'm a very attractive girl and I get a lot of attention from guys... even his own friends check me out all the time..

Don't feel dumb, you are brave for confessing and many guys, including me like it if a girl is straightforward about her feelings and intentions with me. Let's see how it escalates and if he refuses you, just move on, there is no reason to stick to a guy who doesn't reciprocate your feelings. :)

Maybe the guy hates communication through phones not enough context clues to fully understand what's being said.

The rudeness might be him being on guard these could be new feelings that he doesn't understand and that attitude might be him digging his feet in the ground trying to keep things in his element.

You could stay like this for a bit become friends with a mild undertone of your feelings, and just build as much trust between you two where he can let go of his ground.
