Girls: Opinion on Polo Shirts?

I wear polo shirt a lot, and some of my friends told me that girls tend not to like guys that wear polo shirts "out", like to house parties or clubs. Any truth to this? When should or should they not be worn? What should be worn "out" then?

I don't like when guys wear them all the time, pop the collars, etc. Some polos (like nice Lacoste ones) paired with the right outfit can look real nice and classy.

It's mainly just when bros wear them all bro'd out with the hair, the matching abercrombie plaid shorts, etc that it starts to really look bad.

Lucky brand, true religion, urban outfitters, and other stores have some really great shirts (graphic or otherwise) that are really cool/nice looking for a good alternative to polos.

I think polos look good on some guys. But I think what your friends are talking about is that girls might prefer it if you wore button down shirts to parties and clubs, because polos are more casual.

I like when guys wear polo shirts. Just don't pop the collar. It looks ridiculous. Personally, I love it when guys wear polo shirts with khaki cargo shorts for a casual look.

Go for abercrombie and fitch polo's the quality is much better. Most chicks like it when I put the collar up. Jeans, timberland boots or cat boots go well with them.

lol really? I don't know there, but in my country, guys wear it a lot, and girls like.

By the way, my friend is studing fashion in university, and her boyfriend didn't like to wear Polo Shirts, but now she changed his mind (he finds it nice now), because she says it's perfect and suits almost all men.

I think polo shirts are so high school and I don't think they should be worn anywhere. I think graphic t's or like a button down shirt can look awesome and are a good option as opposed to polos.

Just out of curiousity, how old are you? and what would you recommend then? do Abercrombie or other type of t shirts come off as classy, or douchebag?

I'm turning 21 in a couple weeks. I like when guys wear Abercrombie clothes. Hollister is pretty legit too. There's tons of stores that you could find decent tshirts like Diesel, Armani Exchange, or deparment stores like Nordstrom, Nieman Marcus, or Saks Fifth Avenue but those can be a little pricey.

i like polos..they are a bit casual though so maybe you should do button down shirts to clubs. polo is OK for parties

Yes wear them, I wear them myself sometimes and my boyfriend wears them, wear jean with them too. I love when guys wear them
