There's this girl I like who I think likes me back. Among the things she does that makes me suspect this is that her voice tone changes when she talks to me in comparison to other people. She seems to speak with a softer tone and her words seem to drag out and be elongated. When I say hey to her when passing by she replies with a kind of shaky and cracking voice. Sometimes I can't barely hear her at all and at other times her voice goes way higher than usual. It's as if I'm almost intimidating to her.

some people are just sensitive to voices. Is your voice extra deep? if it is, it could just mean that she finds it hard adjusting her voice to you, because trying to match the voice of the person you are talking to is something natural to do (think of a mother talking her baby). And since she is a girl, her voice obviously doesn't go as deep, so adjusting to your voice is next to impossible. This is especially the case when she had a cracking voice. It's like she is used to her own tone, but as soon as your super deep voice got to her ear and somehow causes the physiology of her throat to change, it basically just messes up her voice, and so it cracks. And for the higher-than-usual pitch, it could just be because her voice couldn't go low, and couldn't go back to her original voice, so the only option left is to go high. As for your question of whether she likes you, if your voice is indeed super deep, chances are that her behavior is only due to your voice, and not you.

Yeah, she finds me so creepy that when I catch her glancing and staring at me she quickly looks away. So creepy in fact that she makes long eye contact and smiles at me from a distance.
