Why do guys try to make their crush jealous? Tell me !

Tell me...why on earth do some guys try to make their crushes jealous?

I've had some chemistry going on with this shy guy, him and I occasionally stare at each other..then look away, you know..the typical shy guy that shows signs he likes a girl.

He's in one of my classes and likes to try to get my attention by saying funny stuff out loud, he looks at me to see if I look at him.

I became jealous not too long ago because him and I saw each other in the hallway of our school, he then decided to put his arm over a chick he's not really close with, then grab her by the wrist and attempted to take her to his locker. In the end of all that nonsense he looked back at me to see if I saw what he was doing...I hated it, what was he trying to get out of that?

Why did he do that? Please help me out !

He did it because correct me if I am wrong but as being a shy guy he probably has never asked anyone out or gone out with anyone, so instead of grow a pair of balls he is going to make you think you are running out of time and try to force you into asking him. That is option number one option number two is that he is a shy guy and is insecure with himself so he is trying to make it look like he is more desirable trying to make you think that he is better then what he believes you think he is. If I were you knowing the typical shy guy as I do you might want to try and find out his phone number or contact him on facebook to give a hint that you are interested in him. He might not know that you are, after you FB him or find out his number and start texting him him he should stop feeling the need to act like a dushe to try and get your attention

A shy guy who shows all signs of liking me texts me. We do flirt a bit. He has never mentioned a single girl before but all of a sudden, today, he randomly mentioned a girlfriend. Out of the blue. I gave a vague answer, but after all the texts and flirting, is he trying to make me jealous? I know he is single.

I've tried to make a girl jealous. It was because she started ignoring me (in my estimation, that is) so I tried getting her attention by making her jealous.

I've had this happen to me. This guy I liked seemed shy but cocky and confident as well. He would always stare at me and when I caught him staring, he would hold eye contact with me until I was uncomfortable and looked away. He would also try to get my attention by either saying or doing something strange in front of me. He even flirted with a girl in front of me just to see my reaction and try to make me jealous. A guy like this would rather play a lot of mind games than approach her and talk to her.
