Guys, do you go to the movies with another guy just like that?

He said that he had to work so he couldn't meet with me and later it turned out he met a friend..and went out for dinner and to the cinema. Now I don't mind that, because I was busy anyway and couldn't have met him that said weekend. So when he told me afterward I didn't say anything. Or should I be suspicious? Is it a little weird if two men go to the movies...or is it not?

What movie did they see, first of all? If it was an action "man" movie that has been announced for awhile, there's nothing abnormal about that. I've planned with guy friends after seeing a badass preview, "we have to see that" and sometimes we do. Of course if it's around dinner, we'll grab a bite too. But fast food only.

If they saw a regular family movie, or a drama... and went to a sit down restaurant. Well. You may have something else. Who knows. Is he very masculine, a bit feminine?

Bottomline- nothing wrong with hanging out with one of your good guy friends. You'd go see a movie with one of your girl friends wouldn't you? Just cause we're dudes doesn't mean we don't love our friends.

They saw a biographical movie about a poet...it kinda fits him because he's a kind of guy to be interested in such classic topics, but still it's a bit weird. It seems more like a movie you would see with a girl, which tipped me off in the first place. I don't think he's very feminine, he can be soft at times but at other times he's really manly. I'm just afraid that he wants to tell me that way that he is just not that into me. I don't know yet, so I say we'll see.

Not at all. So... you know we do have buddies, & like to hang out & like to get drunk & see movies. I've done that eventh"... I've been with girls... nothing to worry about unless it becomes more than a rutine. // I guess I can go to a movie with one buddie of mine but ... dinner & then the movies na' it gets weird unless I known him all my life.

Nah, I don't think its suspicious, unless you really doubt his sexuality or something. What I'd be concerned about is why he would hang out with a friend over you that night after telling you he was busy. Maybe he planned it earlier and it wasn't spontaneous?

So true *sigh* I don't think it was sponteanous, he said that it was an old friend whom he promised to meet quite a while ago. I thought he'd met him the weekend before, but now it turned out it was not the case but he met him last weekend, we talked about that before and he hadn't said anything...I'm inclined to believe him, still it's strange just as you say. I think I'm slowly being dumped, we'll see. Thanks anyway!

By the sound of it (both your original post, and your comments), I'd say there's something about the friend that boyfriend didn't want you knowing about, but that's verging on the side of paranoia.

If it never happens again, don't worry about it.

Thanks, I know it's close to paranoia. But my ex was a very dishonest person so I've become quite suspicious/ paranoid whatever you wanna call it ;)
