Why are metal head guys never into metal head girls?

Seems like they always go for the good looking girls. Seems like they don't really care what music the girl likes. I find myself only attracted to guys with similar music interests as me since music is my life. But it always seems like none of the "metalheads" are into me. I realize personality and chemistry is also a factor. But metal head guys don't even give me the time of day :(

What do these type of guys look for in a girl? Is similar music interests important at all?

There's a couple of factors that come into play here.

1: If you are under 18, then not many guys are going to be into metal (other than maybe some Slipknot or SOAD or something). I used to listen pretty much exclusively to classic rock until I was about 18. All of a sudden, my library was adding all sorts of metal, progressive stuff, punk rock and ska to it. Even now, I still have trouble finding women (especially women that are single) who like metal at all, and I'm a senior in college. Theoretically, if you were a metalhead with a confident personality, and you were 19 or older, I would probably be interested in you, regardless of how you look (unless you theoretically weigh more than 200 pounds). Music interests are very important to me.

2: Assuming you don't live in the European countries and otherwise can't tell whether or not is a metalhead, it's going to be very hard to know if someone is a metalhead or not unless you ask them. Again, you're under 18. High school sucks. People get picked on for being different, and being a metalhead is cannon fodder for the preppy kids.

I wish there were metalhead chicks on my town.. but sadly there are non.. we only have emo/scene crap.. again.. sad

And Kris was right about that.. under 18.. girls don't even know who Nile is, or suffocation.. you ask them what metal bands you listen to they probably say only Nu metal junk

now for the question: If I had to chose betwen a girl who was all prepy and cute or a metal chick wearing a CC shirt, studded belt and black clothes.. I would defenitly pick the metal girl.. love the look

Most of the girls I know that say they are "really" into metal don't tend to care about how they look. So if you don't look attractive that could have something to do with. I think getting any guy is 50% looks and 50% personality.

I'm not really into metal, but you've only gotten one answer thus far. All of the 'metalhead' girls that I've met were very tomboyish. That's not necessarily a bad thing for some people, but I think most guys like girls that are girly or have a girly side to them at least. I always get the feeling from them that they don't really have that side to them or it would take a bit of effort to get it out of them. I'm generalizing so I could be wrong.
