What's it mean when a girl calls you cute?

So... is it a bad thing? Girls always call me cute and it really bugs me. It's like, why can't you call me sexy or handsome? Puppies are meant to be cute. Babies are meant to be cute. But a 19 year old young man is NOT meant to be cute. I feel like they are calling me helpless and adorable hahaha like a puppy... It drives me crazy!

depends in what context "cute" is used. the tone and the expression play a part too.

there are 3 types of "cute"

1. the cute little younger brother type that girls are not sexually attracted to

2. the good-looking kinda cute type but that's all there is to it

3. the guy whose looks, personality and mannerisms all combine to melt our hearts & drive us absolutely crazy

I especially like the way you worded #3. Mr Amazing, I'd have to say that a girl that is interested in you is likely describing you with the specifics of #3 in mind when she is calling you cute. The guy I have it bad for is definitely #3 material and his "cuteness" does all the things that are included in that description. So take heart, a puppy dog you are not.

When I use the word "cute" mean he is cute and I like what I saw. I don't use sexy or handsome often because I'll use that if I'm flirting w the guy I like or know already. For ex: on the phone or through text. I'll text him I'll say "what's up sexy or handsome!" same as the phone.

handsome seems fairytale-ish to me and not a word I use often. I call men of all ages cute when theyre acting cute or when I think they are good looking.

i hate being called hot or sexy because I don't like to be looked at as a piece of meat. I still call guys I think that are hot or sexy "cute" because its just awkward to flat out say "damn your so sexy" lmao cute isn't a bad thing :)
