Do guys usually make comments about the appearance of girl they're seeing to her face? I kinda think it's not normal, but maybe I just haven't met many guys who do this...
I haven't been seeing this guy for very long...maybe 2 months or so? But ever since we first started hanging out, he's made comments about my appearance. At first they were more general things like telling me I was cute, or that my eyes were pretty. But as we hung out more, he'd say more specific things. Usually they're good things, but he's said a couple negative things too. I almost stopped seeing him because his comments made me feel unattractive, and I told him this (they also make him seem kind of shallow, but I didn't tell him that). Since then, he's only made positive comments, but I really wish he wouldn't say ANYTHING about my appearance at all, positive or negative. A compliment every once in a while is fine, but when he makes a comment almost every time we're alone, it makes me feel like he's scrutinizing my appearance. Before I started seeing him, I had gotten to the point where I was fine with my appearance; I liked certain features and had accepted those that I couldn't change. When I see him, I always feel more self-conscious.
