Why do guys initially ignore me, am I missing something?

I'm not talking in here of course people here are really nice :)

but in real life, guys usually ignore me, I have lots of guys friends but usually when they first meet me they completely ignore me, like when there are a big group they talk to everybody expect me like I'm not even there I don't show it but it kind of hurt it makes me feel left out.

The other day I went to a park with my best friend (girl) and then there was a guy that she knew and he talked to her the whole time and when he left he only said by to her, I though it was very rude.

Anyways what am I missing

Guys ignore girls if they are really hot because they are intimidated and they want to exude "coolness" like 'Tisk, your beauty doesn't fade me biatch, I got my chin up at you because I'd rather ignore you and make you wonder about why I don't acknowledge you rather than you think I'm kissing your ass because you are so beautiful that you might think that me being nice is kissing your ass when its not, and that makes me nervous because I'd rather ignore you than to be rejected if I tried to get with you'

From a guys perspective, I would think that this is most likely the case, in some way shape or form what I put in parentheses is what guys usually think or along those lines.

I think it has to do with nervousness, but people in general do this, girls do this to guys that they really like too.

I don't do that, I'm amicable especially to really attractive girls because I notice that sometimes in class (when I went to college that is) sometimes attractive girls would have empty seats all around them, sitting all alone, its like, people purposely avoided them, but even though beauty can be intimidating, I just look past it because we are all human beings that fart, s.hit, pee and burp just like everyone else and everyone has insecurities, even very attractive girls have their share of insecurities, I just look beyond beauty and try to find out the girl on the inside, that's how I look at things, and then I realize that sometimes girls are more nervous than I am, or just want to be talked to and not ignored and a lot of times If I didn't sweat a girl I would end up dating her, I think guys are just nervous and s.hit and your beauty just makes them defensive

Do you have vocal chords that work? Can you start a conversation yourself?

Maybe you do these things, but my guess from reading what you wrote is that you stand / sit around looking horribly pretty and just wish upon your stars that men will talk to you and break the ice and do the hard work. When in reality, if you want to talk to someone, you should probably go ahead and do that, rather than wait for them to muster up the courage. They don't know you, don't know if your at all interested in them. Trust me... they probably assume you want nothing to do with them and haven't said anything because you don't want to talk to them.

It's like girls that complain "I really like this guy, I wish he would kiss me". You know what make him kiss you? If you stuck your tongue in his mouth.

My advice... take the initiative. Then you'll be wishing these guys would shut up and leave you alone.

Typical response from a beta male. Real men (not the p.ussies) have balls and start conversations. Real men lead. Beta men, like yourself, don't lead and therefore never get the hot girl. They're stuck with the uglies. Or are virgins into their 20's and beyond.

The reason guys aren't talking to this hotty is because they're scared - plain and simple. Once she gets to college, the real men will take a shot and score.

I think guys should take initiative, should go out there and lead... but so should girls. I don't understand how "what around until a real man comes along" is good advice. If you like someone you should go for it, regardless of what's between your legs.

I've had the same experience. I rarely get approached by men whether alone or outback with a couple of friends. My friends (who aren't as attractive) always get guys approaching them and buying them drinks while I just sit alone by myself twiddling my thumbs. I often times have both men AND women approach me to tell me I'm "gorgeous" and on multiple occasions that I'm "the most gorgeous woman in the bar". But then they walk off leaving me all alone again.

I'm a very down to earth person. And am not big on looks when it comes to dating. I get tired of being so lonely. Last year, i only went on 4 dates the entire year and am embarrassed for others to know that who are always saying "your so hot, Im sure you have no problem meeting men". If only they knew the truth... What can I do differently?

I do this because I don't want to play games... Some guys like to play the ignore card to try to get girls to notice them, but I only do it because I really can't relate to women. I only talk to women at my workplace ONLY if its just work related topics or questions... Other than that I keep my distance. I am not rude to women, but I don't seek to conversate with them either, so I don't really talk to any women besides the occasional co-worker or the gym girls at my kickboxing academy...

All my friend's wife's or girlfriend's would tell me after I let my guard down that I was rude for never talking to them, but I didn't see it as rude, I just don't want the drama of male to female friendships... Ugly or hot, I keep my distance from women because I can't relate to them. You're probably taking it personally, but I was raised with older brothers and a tom-boy of a mother so a conversation with a woman is foreign to me even if it's with a hot one...

Usually when I see a really beautiful girl like you, I usually think that:

a.) She has a boyfriend. Popular, rich, handsome and such, and I simply can't compete with him. More than that it's simply useless to compete.

b.) She's spoiled. Obviously she knows about her looks and she's probably abusing it, so she probably got used to obedience from men, expensive gifts, goddess-like attitude etc. I'm not interested in it.

Anyway, it's just first impression. I doubt I would approach you.

But problem might be somewhere else too. In your personality maybe.

Don't bother too much, or don't worry yourself silly. Guys (and girls too) are pretty crazy in terms of what attracts them, sexually speaking.

In college, I would draw very little attention from the girls. It was later on that I realized what it meant to be an beta male, and the fact that I'm not an alpha guy! I was good at studies, very responsible, and never a meanie. Yet, the girls, it appears, went for the mean guys!

There are chemical reasons as to why some people are attractive towards the opposite gender! There are reasons of science which explain why men love a sexy figure (apparently, better chances of procreating healthy children!... they fall in line without even understanding WHY!)

I have no regrets. The lack of attention helped me focus on a whole lot of other beneficial areas in life... strangely, as an elder male, women pay more attention to me now. Which can also be a bit disconcerting. But I need to keep reminding myself... it's about THEM, not ME :-)

Often with attractive women, guys think there'll b such intense compeittion that they choose not to even try to compete! Especially if the girl tries to highlight her natural attractiveness as you appear to be doing, judging by the picture.

You might want to tone down the clothes and makeup if you want wider appeal...

They are intimated by your beauty. They don’t talk to you on purpose in order to see if you will start conversation with them. What they are looking for is signals from you that you are interested. A lot of guys do not understand that talking to pretty girls is no different than talking to an ugly one.

You gotta let yourself be known. I know it sounds weird but if they don't talk to you first you have to let your body do the talking. I'm not talking about anything sexual, I mean like are you a welcoming person? Do you smile and make eye contact ? Are you attentive when they're speaking? I know when I'm at a party and girls don't look like they want to talk to me , I'll do exactly that and ignore them. Just be a bit sunnier and warm and guys will come to you in know time.

the part with your friend in the park I think she was the most guilty one, because she was suppose to introduce you to one another, I mean you to her friend and him to you. But also the guy was guilty to, because he could of say at least a 'hi' and 'bye' I'd say.
