If he really liked me would he have ditched me? (Guys please answer this)

So this guy and I have been talking, he says he really likes me. Like he's sprung and text me every morning. But we had plans yesterday and he texted today and said "I'm so sorry. I totally spaced!" I feel like if a guy REALLY liked a girl as much as he says he wouldn't FORGET about the plans we made, right?

Like we tend to forget things that aren't important to us right? so seeing me must have not been that important?

Could be any of many things. We don't know. If you really want to know, ask him.

Sometimes things happen that jolts your thinking and something that is important is temporarily forgotten. He said he is sorry, so maybe he is.

I do notice that your explanation is that he stated that he spaced it, but you labeled that ditching you. Big leap to that judgment. Give him the chance to explain before judging him..

Maybe you were important but other even things that eclipsed your importantness. That happens some times.

Maybe, in this situation you would never forget, but guys are different. Did he just never show up? Stand you up? If so, he might be playing with you. If not, maybe he did just space out... You can only know later what really happened.

he sucks. he doesn't care as much as you deserve someone to, my advice would be to move on. or give him another chance and if it happens again then drop him.
