Why do most girls like bad boys and hate nerdy guys?

Including me, I love to be with a bad boy (I don't mean uneducated or some sort of a gang dude) I'm talking about the more like masculine ones, but I tend to dislike nerdy guys, it's like they're in another world and sometimes they're creepy, and a lot of my girlfriends tend to do the same, and I'm not offending nerdy guys or anything, just saying, what do you girls think?

Biology. Girls don't hate "nerdy" guys. They hate weak guys , which is associated with being nerdy. Woman are programmed to like males which are strong , dominant so they can pass their genes and have the strongest offspring. That's why girls like athletes , bad boys , jocks , rappers , soldiers , rich guys , and usually the loudest guy in the room because they are dominant in some ways. While girls hate nerdy , nice guys because they are weak and non dominant. examples include low self confidence , cowards. They give off the vibe they can't protect themselves let alone protect you. It's genetics and for survival. And girls does not hate nerdy guys because they like games or Star Wars or because their smart or other shit like that. It's because they look and act weak.

Definitely love the nerds! Maybe its just me, I really never noticed any 'bad' boys. Bad boys seem like a lot of work trying to keep them out of trouble like a 5 year old child lol. It's like babysitting without payment. So, I rather take a nerd :D. Though, not one with trouble talking, but not only 'nerdy guys' have that issue, just some people do overall.

I don't know about most girls, but this girl definitely prefers the nerdy guys! I've done the badboy thing, it's a waste of time and nothing but trouble. My boyfriend is a little on the nerdy side and I think it's cute as hell :) Also, a guy can be nice without being nerdy. It's not like guys are only either nerdy or "bad."

First of all, don't generalize.

I LOVE nerdy guys. Nerds are f***ing awesome. When they're in another world, they're so damn cute. I'm also a dork myself. I'm in love with books. I'm always day dreaming, in my own little world. I'm very social though. So again, no generalizing.

Most likely because badboys are sort of more realistic, manly and dominant, while nerdy guys are less manly, not as strong physically, and living in some fantasy world.

"ShootingStar5" is the first girl I've heard make that statement. Usually a girls idea is "nerdy" or "nice" = weak, non-masculine or non-protective, or boring. There lies the problem. Many "nice guys are perfectly capable of being masculine, strong, or protective. Girls still rely heavily on primal mating urges and emotion, instead of using intellect or logic. I know most don't mean to, but they still do it anyway (ie: our QA here, admitted doing it herself).

hmmm...this seems to be a troll post. but let me point something out for you:

while masculine guys are "the sexy" ones for now, the "creepy geeks" will most likely be the ones going to college, graduating college with a USEFUL degree (not like sports medicine or some sh*t like that), and succeeding in the working world. where as the "bad boys" (and I speak from personal experience here) will end up with the low wage, dead end jobs.

so be careful who you choose when it comes to serious relationships, nerdy guys don't have the best exterior, no denying that, but they have a much better interior than the jock-meat heads most young girls are attracted to
