Why does he text me everyday but we don't flirt?

I just started this job and I'm 20 and there is a waiter that works there (25 years old and cute). So one day I went to go eat where I work with my girls and one of the waiters invites me out but I didn't really want to go because I'm not close to any of them, but my waiter at the time was the one I think is cute and they told him to go to and were talking or whatever and he then got my number to text him and let him know if I'm gonna go out with them. I text-ed him and we spoke about it but he didn't want to go and he's like rain check I owe you. Ever since that day he text's me everyday but we don't flirt! We just talk about music,interests,our lives,work and just literally everything. What does that mean ?

Why does he not flirt? no calling me beautiful like nothing, its really weird. either he doesn't know how to flirt or he just wants to be friends

Hahaha reminded me of the last girl I went out with. I was playing the role of this same guy as well .I would text this girl like twice a week and see her every other week. I kinda liked her,she was in love with me, she was so nice, well educated,hard working and everything but I guess at the end of the day she was not that much of a good looker to my taste( not that she was ugly or anything but I guess not good enough) so I could never convince myself to get into a relationship with her because of that, that's why I always abstained from flirting or saying intimate words or feelings until eventually things dried out between us .If you ask why I went out with her in the first place, well I guess at that time I wasn't seeing anybody new, so I decided to give her a shot. Maybe this guy is doing the same, he considers you as an option but is still not sure if he wants to commit, he may want to explore other options as well at the same time.good luck.

Not every man reads dating journals or reads web forums about dating (like many women do). In other words: most men are not as secure in how to act in dating and courting as are women. Maybe he's somewhat interested but doesn't know how to act. Maybe he's very interested. Maybe he's not interested but wouldn't mind being friends. You should probably ask him.
