So what does it mean if a guy talks about himself but in a negative way like saying he's lazy or doesn't know that much...stuff like that.

Does it mean anything? I always read that if someone talks about themselves often they do it to impress, so obviously they'll be talking about more positive things. But what this other type of behavior mean?

And I don't think it's bad that he mentions these kind of things. Sounds honest to me.
But...again, I wonder if talking positively about yourself a lot means trying to impress ( if we generalize), talking negatively about yourself means...
