Why am I always the one asking to hang out?

I am ALWAYS the one to text him first and ask if he wants to hang out. Most of the time he'll respond and say yes, but why does he never text me first or ask to hang out?

The person is probably lazy (I'm guilty of that sometimes), but most likely he just doesn't have any plans. He doesn't have already an activity to invite you to or don't realize you'd like to come hang out with the things he does.

My fiance used to take me out anywhere because we always had certain places to go and time to get sidetracked to find new places to hang out. When we moved to a desert area, we didn't know where to hang out and if we did, it was just so hot outside, we resorted to playing on the computer most of the time. We let our family members invite us to their family dinners instead.

Kittie might be right, maybe he does not have a place you would like. Guys, I mean:)) WE can sometimes be careless and just have no reason to it at all. This is the part when girls, in this situation you have to make him realize, he would be missing something if he doesn't bother texting. I know for a fact we can easily take things for granted. Maybe you need to show him this bothers you, a direct approach might be simple way to do it. This might sound funny but we guys sometimes need a rock thrown to our head. Methaphoricly speaking! I sent him a text this morning leaving it up to him to text me when he wants to hang out but it was a pointless text. I do want to be direct and tell him how I feel but I'm done trying to explain things over text and I don't know if he wants to meet up anytime soon... I'm terrified of annoying him, which is my biggest downfall with him. I want him to know I'm happy where we stand and am not trying to push for anything more, I'd just like to know what he thinks/feels

Maybe he is shy. You need to tell me more about the situation so I can surely tell you:D. So far I can tell you he might be shy, the taughest guys can be shy. Or he might be careless or he might not be wanting to make the first step. But it depends are you in a relationship with him? or just friends?

we are friends and we hook up sometimes. we don't see each other often or talk much, maybe once a week or so if that. I don't remember him ever texting me first, so if I want to see him, I have to make the effort.
