He’s given me so many signs that he likes me. When it is just us two, or he can call my phone without anybody else around (we work together)… he is nice, flirty, teases me, etc. We went on break together the past two days, just us and it was really nice. He told me he had to protect me from all the “steves” in the world (Steve is a co-worker who gets around with girls), We had good conversation which kept going, we were both laughing, we playfully teased one another, and just talked! He was nice...but def wouldn't have acted that way if someone else was in the room
He called my work phone and asked when we were going on break (which was weird because our shifts didn’t match up) and he said he didn’t care when I went, he’d go with me because he didn’t want me to be mad at him. (ongoing joke between us) so he ended up going only one hr into his 6 hr shift just to go with me. And he didn't even eat because he had just eaten, so he just sat with me and talked lol

HOWEVER-- he wouldn't dare show that side of himself /talk to me like that if others could hear our convos. It's almost like he is hiding it. Do you think maybe he is?
I mean, I don't want the other co-workers to know I like him so maybe he feels the same but it just seems like he is so hot and cold with me depending on who is around.
Today another co-worker was teasing him and telling him he needs to set him up with some, I happened to walk by and he called me over mentioning how I had a big smile on my face at the mention of my crush finding someone. Then my crush tried to act like he didn't know what was going on and laughed it off. It seemed like he was put on the spot and was trying to avoid the spotlight lol
sry this is long and annoying...haha but do you think he is interested but just doesn't know how to act on it?

I agree. I guess the real question is... where to go from here? I want things to progress, obviously...but I am afraid to tell him I like him...
