Guys and texting female co-workers? Does he like me?

I don't really text other guy co-workers, unless it's work related. But me and this one guy I work with have been texting a lot over the summer. I feel like there is something brewing between us, do you think so?

We always go on lunch break together, he has even ditched others to go with me. When we are on lunch together we can talk about anything, the convo just flows.

I haven't really seen him in a while. (He went on vacation then I went the week after, then he went away for another couple days so it's been like 2 weeks)

He texted me while I was on vacation telling me to enjoy my trip. I did not even tell him I was away, he must have seen my work schedule on the bulletin and realized I was gone. He asked me about my vacay and I asked him about his. We joked that we should plan when we take off next time because we seem to come back from vaca. right when the other leaves.

I said: "Who am I supposed to hang out with at work now :(?"

He said: "Sorry, next time I will ask you first before I take off lol"

I said: "Sounds good. Now we are on the same page!"

He said: "We always were, you just didn't notice"

We texted a bit more that night, then on and off for a few hours the next day. Our convos are sometimes ridiculous and weird, we can honestly talk about anything.

I feel like if he wasn't interested in me, he wouldn't have made the effort to contact me while I was away. Am I right?

and he remembers everything I say! about my family, interests, whatever. I know because he'll bring it up later. (little things that I'll forget even mentioning he will bring up later)


Another one of our co-workers has been telling people we are dating (not sure if he is joking or really thinks we are). DO you think I should mention this to the guy I like? Maybe to get something going?

I feel like he will never ask me out though. If he likes me, why won't he just ask me?! I told him we should go to this party together that we were both invited to (co-workers grad party) like 2mo. back and he initially agreed but then changed his mind. (I never wanted to go, just wanted to hang with him. I suspect he never wanted to go either). I am very hesitant to ask him because I am worried he will say no. What do I do? We are both inexperienced when it comes to dating...

I think he is def interested in you but that he's keeping on the down low until he knows exactly how you feel. You don't need to tell him up front, which is what most people would tell you to do. What you should do is take it up a notch. Maybe ask him to hang out with you sometime in a group date or activity. That way it's not too serious and if he agrees there is a good possiblity that he likes you. Then after that, if he ask you out again, you will know that he likes you for sure. Try it out. I can tell by the text he sent you that there is def something there or else he would just talk to you at work in a friendly way but wouldn't text you outside of work.

thanks for your comment. I completely agree with you! I'm too afraid to straight up ask him "hey want to hang out tomorrow?" So do you think hinting at doing something/asking him casually would work? ...say maybe we are talking about a particular movie/restaurant and I say "I really want to go see that/that place looks so good, we should go!"

Also- another co-worker has told a few people that we are dating (my crush and I). Should I mention this to my crush? see what he says?

You are welcome. That would work also because if he for some reason doesn't want to go with you, it won't feel like complete rejection. Just hint at it and if he doesn't respond well just say "ah I'm just kidding with you, you know we are only friends" or say " I'm trying to ask all my co-workers if they would want to go with me, I think it would be fun going with people I work with". Those are just some lines to work with in the worst case scenerio if you hint at him and he doesn't proceed with it

Yesterday I told him that another one of our co-workers thinks we are dating and is telling people. He smiled and said I was lying then asked who he told. Then he brought it up today, asking how that all come about.He said he doesn't like when people gossip but didn't seem turned off or say it was a weird/crazy idea. Then he asked what was going on with me, why was I acting so weird? (didn't think I was?) His tone with me is softer and more serious whereas w. others he is goofy and loud.

he jokingly said, "tell Kevin I'm going to beat him up for gossiping!" so I plan on bringing it up tomorrow and then texting my crush, somehow leading to- "maybe he's right, we'd make a cute couple" or "so since we're dating and all, when are you taking me out to dinner?"

I think he likes you, but because you guys work together, he might be a bit cautious about progressing things further. When a guy is that attentive, he likes you a lot. :)

If you're not in a rush to "seal the deal", I'd say take things slow and see how things go. One thing you wouldn't want is to rush into things and wreck a friendship...

sounds like he likes you. You can test the waters by doing this... put your hand on his chest , if he smiles and doesn't jump back, he likes you or at least attracted.
