yeah, everyone cares about whether the other person looks good or not. there are barely people in a relationship with someone they do not find attractive. come on.
it all depends on how you can describe your type. yes, again, everyone has a type. for the life of me though, I cannot put my finger on what my type really is.
all I can say/ deduce about my type, is that the guy has to be at least a head taller than me (I'm 1,74 /5"8) and that he has to have a great smile. I think I like guys with kind of a bed-head? Or at least not the strict styles with a part. I don't think I've ever been attracted to a man with a part on his head. don't really like guys with hair longer than their chin. Hair color...nah, no preference really. body type...well, I'll be honest, shallow and conceited as I am, I am not into the heavier guys. you don't have to be ripped and muscular (actually, not a big fan of big muscles...at all, actually), I actually kind of like the nerdy-body-types :P but hey, you can't say no to abs... as long as they're not over-done.
but yep, personality is still a big thing. still might not sleep with you if you're a flaming bastard, even if you do look like George Clooney in his ER days!
I don't have one. I think physical preferences are stupid as hell. For the most part, they are people's excuses to have discriminatory behavior and say it's okay. I think it is very unintelligent to walk around with one specific look, considering there are so many various combinations of features, and automatically exclude people who don't fit your one, limited idea. That is how you miss out on good people who may make you excited about life.
It's also annoying when people throw around the word 'preference' like they sound so smart but they sound like a f***ing parrot. It is the most overused word.
I have PERSONALITY PREFERENCES, but I am smarter than to limit myself by sticking to b.s. physical 'prefrences' a.k.a. excuses to exclude a group of people without soundling like a complete a**hole
I like a guy who is built kind of stocky. Height wise not too short and not too tall either, maybe around 5'7-5'10ish since I'm only 5'3 and I could safely wear heels even with a guy who is 5'7. I don't like dating a guy who is too tall because I was with a guy who was 6'2 once and it made my neck hurt.
I really love when a guy has a balance between hair and eye colors. Like dark brown/black hair with blue eyes or blond hair with brown eyes. Or hazel or green eyes with medium or light brown hair. I don't know why, but I think that's really cool.
I really like shaggy hair. Not too long and not too short either. I don't really care whether it's curly or straight as long as it's kept clean.
Cute sweet face, short, hair just has to look right on the person but I generally prefer longish hair (just passed the shoulders), not girlie (no dresses, high heels, lipstick ect.), small hands and feet, white, not chubby but not slim either but I think closer to slim than chubby if you know what I mean
Of course a girl doesn't have to have all these features for me to like her, this is just my "ideal", but she must be cute and she musn't be chubby or too slim. Oh and she mustn'thave dark skin (I'm not a rascist, I'm just not attracted to dark people)

Yes, looks matter equally for both guys and girls. Guys care mostly about looks, but girls want looks and a personality for the most part. Generally speaking, be hot is the dating advice you can give someone.

yes I have preferences but personality can be a big game changer. Someone may seem less or more attractive depending on their behavior, mindset, etc. I do love me tall, blond, blue eyes though. & I've been so shallow I couldn't be intimate with a guy because he was too short, like my height almost & I'm 5'0".
I like lots of looks but if I had to pick ny absolute ideal of physical features?
5'10"+, chubby/heavy, facial hair, brunette, dark eyed. I like teddy bears.
But I find all sorts of other things attractive so I don't really seek anything out.
Double eye-lid, sharp eyes, not big nose, don't need to be so tall( nose&heught), preferably tanned skin& abs( not so toned), thick lips, stylish clothing...OMG! I'm just describing why crush lol
