Why does she giggle when I look at her?

I talk to this one girl a lot, and I really like her. We sit next to each other in class and she's always doing something with her hands. So a lot of times I'll sit there and stare into her eye until she notices, and when she does she giggles uncontrollably a couple of times. Why?

Oh, I should add, I'm a fairly normal looking guy, and this has happened more than once.

It sounds like she is nervous but she does like the look you give her. Try hugging her more often and see what happens.
