Why is he different with me?

So I'm kinda confused if he likes me or not? Like on Facebook he'll do the heart emoticons towards girls, and he seems to be more flirty with them. He's normal towards me, but when he sees me he does flirt with me, but it's subtle, but then he'll just get right to it and actually give me a hint that he wants to have sex with me or he'll just be completely outright with me, lol! But then he gets embarrassed or something and kinda gets awkward about it, lol!

He is very extroverted and bold, but he seems to be more quiet and normal with me where as with other girls he seems to be more flirty and more vulgar with them, but he doesn't act vulgar with me, like maybe once or twice, lol! He does say "love you" to me, but I just don't know how to take it, if he likes me or not? I noticed to that he stares at me alot, and it always seems like he's observing me and he like stares right at my face, and he is always touching my arm, and sometimes he'll touch my back, I know, it's weird, haha! Also I heard behind my back that he called me "Hot" but he doesn't compliment me to my face. Like I said he's different with me, he doesn't act the same way with other girls, so does that mean he likes me or not? Just curious! :) Any thoughts on this guys and gals? lol! Thanks!

I don't write this to get your hopes up, but I'll tell you what usually happens to me. I'm a social guy and I usually am very chatty with girls I have no interest in other than friendship. With this girl I like though, I get extremely nervous. When I know I'm gonna see her, my heart races and I start thinking how am I gonna act when I see her, sometimes I'm talkative (I may talk too much), others I wait until she says something to me. After I talk to her, I go in my head over and over through all the conversations that we had, how she reacted, did she laugh etc. Sometimes I will even avoid further contact with her if I had a great interaction, just so I don't screw up.

I'm a confident guy, I can tackle anything, but she gets to me, I get nervous, insecure and I get all these different feelings when I'm with her. She is a tiny 5 feet tall woman and I get all panicky when I see her lol.

Maybe this is the case with this guy. This girl acts exactly the same way towards me, she is more quiet and reserved and doesn't treat me like she treats others and even though I know its NORMAL for me to get quiet and nervous, when she gets quiet and nervous, I just figure she doesn't want to talk to me or is annoyed, even though, most of the time, she is the one initiating. Your brain can play games with you when you like somebody.

Ahh Interesting! No, you are not getting my hopes up, cause I'm not serious about this guy, lol! I am just curious, cause I never really had a guy friend that treated me differently from other people, I don't think I'm special, I just think it's confusing and weird, haha! But I see from your point that even a guy like you who is extroverted can be shy and nervous around a girl you like. Interesting answer! Thanks for commenting! :)

It's hard to compare the way someone acts around you with the way they act around everyone else when you don't have a representative sample of his/her behaviour. It's probably best not to think that he treats you 'differently' or that you're 'special' without any hugely obvious signs.

But he likes you. I can't say you're the only one he's interested in, but he's interested in you. And since you're thinking about him, I'm pretty sure you like him to. So ask him out. Do it casually and confidently, and I can guarantee you won't have to worry about being 'special'. Make yourself special. Make yourself different from every other girl who plays hard to get when we all know it's just for show. Play a level higher.

Yeah, I understand! Thanks! I will eventually do that, lol! I am just curious, I'm not really serious about this guy, but I never had a guy act like that, cause I have a lot of guy friends and they act the same with every girl and me, but this particular guy just acts different with me, and I noticed around other girls he seems to be different with them too, so I am just curious about that, but thank you for answering! I will take your advice! :)
