My boyfriend said I love you drunk!?

Me and my boyfriend have been together for almost six months in about a month or so. I am his first girlfriend and first everything, if that helps. I've texted him 'love you' at the end of every good night text or message ever since our third month in. He's never replied back with that but I didn't think too much of it because I love very quickly. About a month ago, he started texting 'love you' at the end of every good night text or message so I thought it was a step forward.

A couple of weeks ago, he got very drunk while I was sober. The whole night, he kept on saying how he didn't want anyone to take me away from him and how i am his and it was just funny to watch him say and act like this because when he is sober, he is not too emotional. At the end of the night, he says 'i love you' while drunk and in-person. The next day, he never mentioned or brought it up. He does continue to text me 'love you' through good night messages but never seems to be able to say it in person. Mind you, he is not an emotional human being. Do you think he means it? He can say it through text and while drunk so I assume he knows what he is texting back.

I have uttered 'i love you' to him. He replied back with 'see ya'. Don't know if he heard it or what but I think he did. But at the end of the night, he texted me with 'good night babe. love you too.' So... again.. i am getting frustrated.

My ex used to only tell me he loved me when he was drunk and he didn't really love me.

He has only been drunk once around me and said i love you. He does text me 'i love you' whenever we text good night.

Yeah he means it... whether he knows what actual love is though is another matter entirely.
