Long time ago I was thirty pounds overweight, it almost feels like in a dream how long ago it was.
To some people thirty pounds may not look like a lot. I'm tall for a girl. Some people say that when a tall girl gains weight it does not look as bad as a short girl, but for me gaining 30 lbs meant that I could no longer fit my favorite jeans and wear my favorite tops.
I could no longer go into my favorite stores because the clothes would not fit on me the way I wanted them too.
Also, I would eat fast food almost every day.
So I decided to make a change. I knew that my brother in law was a personal trainer and my sister told me that he was also studying something similar in college.
Even though they do not live anywhere near me I asked him for advice on good walking shoes because the shoes I was currently walking in made my feet hurt.
I started off walking, then jogging, and then I did HIIT(high intensity interval training)
I was unemployed and I will busy working weird hours so I decided not to go to the gym but exercise at the park or inside.
But before that I had to cut down going to fast food restaurants. It was so easy to not go.......................................lol just kidding that was hard. I would still pig out twice a week.
Then I decided to start eating more at home until after some fast food withdrawals later I found that I was eating home cooked meals.
But why stop there?
I also downloaded an app called Lose It!
And even though I ate at places like McDonald's, Church’s chicken, and taco bell I would eat the Starbucks food too.
When I logged my food, I was actually surprised to discover the the Starbucks food I ate was actually higher in calories than the burgers and the other fast food restaurants!
Then, people would tell me that I looked smaller. The funny part is I did not notice this until people that would see me a lot pointed it out.
My smallest pants actually fit me, my biggest pants got too big, I waa able to wear my favorite tops and try on clothes without feeling uncomfortable.
Of course I still eat fast food, just not as much as I use to.
