7 Reasons Why I Don't Want To Be "Jacked"

Anonymous

I'm aware that some people will say You're just lazy and you don't want to look good. But being jacked doesn't equalize looking good, and it will never happen. It only happens among the mindsets of the big ones. Here are those reasons why, I don't want to.

(In alphabetical order)

1) Following a certain diet for nothing

7 Reasons Why I Don't Want To Be

Well I'd do it if I was actually getting paid a lot, and NOT looking like a monster as a result. But now, why? Yeah I know health-freaks are going to freak out and say it's essential to follow a healthy diet blah blah, but between us...who listens to them?

2) I don't follow trends

7 Reasons Why I Don't Want To Be "Jacked"

I hate trends and I never follow them. I go on my own way. Like this stupid trend with the beard. It's really silly and many guys tend to follow it, just in order to be in. Same thing is getting jacked.

Not to mention the other trend about having at least 3-4 Social media accounts, and if you don't you're old-fashioned and you're boring, and all those nice things. Just another proof how the world becomes more rotten year by year since 21st century started.

3) I don't want to do it just in order to be praised by women

7 Reasons Why I Don't Want To Be "Jacked"

Actually this comic strip is from the 40s-50s. And this thing wasn't so big back then, but it was more like fan fiction. Now unfortunately it's a reality in certain areas around the world, especially among the First World Countries, and in America by an even bigger degree since this is the country where this thing was started. Women have started to become more shallow and they praise the tall big dude who shows off how man he is at every chance he gets. Why should I want to be attracted by this type of women? They are trash if they think that way.

4) I won't feel myself anymore.

7 Reasons Why I Don't Want To Be "Jacked"

Seeing myself being jacked in the mirror, I'd feel like it's not me anymore but someone else. Someone fake. And this is the most important reason among all. How someone can be satisfied in someone else's body?

5) It's against my cultural beliefs

7 Reasons Why I Don't Want To Be "Jacked"

Gym Culture is one of the worst Made In America things, that many cultures worldwide tend to adopt more and more, and it's really sad. It's really sad to see 18 year old boys (Yes, by that age you're a boy. not a man. Because you're still growing and you're not fully developed.) wanting to look like they came out from the WWE. You're just 18, why you do that to yourself? Well, blame American media for it that passed this habit to other countries, and they made a big amount of today's male youth, gym junkies. I really feel sorry for those guys.

6) Waste Of Money

7 Reasons Why I Don't Want To Be "Jacked"

Obviously, this thing about getting jacked doesn't happen for free right? You have to pay gym membership, protein powders and all those things. So for me it'd be a waste of money, and most of all, I'd not be satisfied with my results, as I stated above.

7) Worthless effort

7 Reasons Why I Don't Want To Be "Jacked"

OK now I'm a mountain of muscles. Now what? I don't intend being a wrestler or a bouncer or something like that, so it won't be useful to me anyway.

To sum it up: I really dislike how this certain trait of the American culture has been spread among other countries around the world, and make young boys and adults gym junkies, all over the world. It's still not so as strong as it is in America, but in a decade or so, this phenomenon is going to be more and more dominant everywhere, which will result into a world of gym-junkies and a world of shallow women praising those kind of men. It's really sad and scary if you think about it.
