4 Ways People Cope With Their Shitty Choices and/or Unfortunate Circumstances

These are subjective and somewhat interwined. But usually brains work better with categorisations and little bullet points. so lets go!

1) Victimhood

4 Ways People Cope With Their Shitty Choices and/or Unfortunate Circumstances

In this category there are for example your usual conspiracy theorists. (why accept i'm responsible for my own situation, and try to understand the immensely complex multivariable world? a thing which requires effort, studying and personal development. when i can simply water down its complexity and invent a nasty puppeteer i can concentrate all my resentment on?).

You can also include mgtows, feminists, those with "the asshole magnet", those civilians that chose to be patronised by the state to avoid most personal responsibilities, but are paradoxically enraged when their expectations aren't met and rush on protests with every chance. and all these types of people.

Receiving feedback of various sources, and from people very different to you and with polar opposite paradigms is like poison for them. Completely unfathomable. They'd prefer to surround themselves with "YesMen" and super meek friends that constantly reaffirm their own paradigm than ever even considering being challenged. But this very lack and denial is the perfect recipe for our next point.

2) Idealisation

If you walk in a big city street or market chances are you will see a homeless person with some weird sign muttering to himself etc. If you talk to one, he might say he literally believes he is Napoleon, or "The king" Elvis. And that they were just conspired against and marginalised by society or some bad music recording company out of envy.

We are not mentioning that to mock these people but to understand where this reaction is coming from. It's their own coping mechanism to deal with their current situation. This man created a utopia in his head where he is that great person, in such a high degree, that is the polar balancing opposite to what he experiences in real life. He is a legend in his own mind.

People in that category are also ex femme fatale protagonists that indeed were successful but are now way past their prime but are stuck in the past. Also those nationalists that create an idealistic distortion of their ancient history and their almighty flawless ancestors.

There are the day dreamers. Those that daily expect to win the lottery, or they wait for the "big chance" to magically appear one way. In that utopian, hypothetical future paradise scenario, that they have no clues of how exactly it will be realised and unfold, and make no actions whatsoever towards this direction, but just sit there and "hope".

3) Self loathing and hurting

Are moving most of their life in their heads. They tend to be too harsh on themselves and distort reality. Memories are very tricky little bitches, cause our brains use to provide us with a quite blurry version of the real thing every time we recall them. They usually magnify the reactions of others against them and even see things that aren't even there. Are usually sensitive souls and instead of expressing their frustation outwards, they internalise this resentment and just take the downward spiral.

Drug users, self harming people, people prone to depression and catatonic episodes etc.

4) Growth, Pain/hardships adoration/welcoming (not to be confused with masochism), humility

4 Ways People Cope With Their Shitty Choices and/or Unfortunate Circumstances

People in this paradigm, tend to reap the best results from all categories and achieve the most amount of inner peace and happiness. Are people who see problems as blessings, mistakes as opportunities for introspection, insults not as something to internalise but more like a mirror of the offender's current situation. Love chanllenges and bettering themselves.

Are big time into development and never hold on to ideas, but are rather open minded, show high plasticity, and welcome new paradigms. Know how to take responsibilities but also act on them not just stand there on a theoretical level of admitting it.

Have the balls to hunt their dreams and passions. Are a bit idealists but balance it with good amounts of realism and feedback from other successful or spiritual people. No human is an island.
