The Dangers of Waist Training

Over the past few years, there has been a particular rise in the sale of corsets or waist trainers. Corsets first came to the market in the sixteenth century. The corsets were used to hold the torso together in order to achieve an 'hour glass' figure. Similarly, waist trainers are a more modern approach to corsets and are used to cinch your waist, hips and back.

Waist trainers are advertised my numerous celebrities and models in social media, explaining why waist trainers have become so popular.

The price of waist trainers ranges from £2- £100+

However, although waist trainers are advertised to lose weight quickly it is all bullshit. Waist trainers can deform your body by squishing your lungs and ribs which can eventually cause other health issues such as constipation or difficulty breathing. Some women have actually passed out for wearing a waist trainer for a large amount of time. Although waist trainers are advertised to loose weight this is all liesss! When wearing a waist trainer the body sweats more so you loose WATER weight, but as soon as you drink water you pack the weight back on. Also, unless you're planning on wearing a waist trainer 23/7 after you take the waist trainer off your body just fills up to its normal shape. So my question is why are women waist training if it is just a waste of time and lets not even begin to speak about how uncomfortable they must be.

These are some of the results from women who have waist trained:
