There are many healthy practices, traits, and routines that can make your life better if you practice them. We all have busy lives and sometimes feel we don't have time to take the steps to be healthy and happy. You really can be nice, feel content, and be available to happiness by dedicating a few minutes each day to yourself.


These are some of the things I do that work! Some work better than others on certain days, but either together or separately these 5 tips will improve your quality of life pronto!!


Lemons & Water

First thing when you get up in the morning enjoy a cup of warm water with freshly squeezed lemon juice (half a lemon). You can do this 2 weeks in a row if you need to detox or do it every other day to boost to your immune system. You'll get lots of vitamine C, a fresh mouth, weight loss and incredible skin.


Stretching

You don't like to run. You don't like to go to the gym. You don't like to sweat. You don't like to exercise, period. OK, but you can stretch!! Very important to do it everyday or every other day 5 to 10 minutes; before or after the shower, dressed or naked, but stretch!! You will add years to your life just lifting your arms.


Eat Everything

I mean it. Everything. Eat well everyday, either by cooking, buying good food, or enjoying a great meal at a restaurant. And yes! you can eat "junk" food here and there, why not?


Face Fear

We all have fear, everyone of us. Best way to face it is to feel it. Don't react to it; just feel the uncomfortable burning in your gut and in you mind and the added shortness of breath. Feel that. If you stay with it, and examine why you feel it, you'll be on your way to knowing yourself and letting go of the fear.


If you face fear, you'll become a better person and live better.


Be Nice

You cannot be liked by everyone and/or please everyone, so let's move on. Be selfish when you are nice, start with YOU! Treat yourself to some joy in life, do something you really like for no other reason than pure enjoyment on your part. If you are nice to yourself, you'll be nicer to others. Let's not go around judging people for one act, one mistake or one bad day. We all make mistakes and at this point should know, that there is nothing wrong with being wrong.


It looks nice when you read this, but it's not easy, we are easily distracted. If we were to treat ourselves to happy times, what would they look like? Would it be a one night stand, the love of a life time, a trip to India, a nooner, a bike trail, a kite, a nice dinner with our family, a nice hot coffee in the morning, a sunset, or a sunrise? If we are available to happiness we'll make the world a better place for ourselves and others. Let's make being nice the next epidemic.
