How Do I break this really bad habit?

I'm trying to lose around 15 pounds before it's nice enough to go to the beach, so around two weeks to a month. I'm a vegan and I exercise regularly, there's just one problem... I eat way too much. I can never lose the weight completely because of my eating habits. I just would like some helpful advice on how to break this habit so I can move forward and reach my goal. I'm also training for a race in August, so this is really important for me. Thank You!
