Once you start skipping meals regularly, you know something's wrong. And, yes, certainly if you're afraid of eating you should know you have a problem. There's some metabolism stuff that I'm not entirely sure on, but if you don't eat *enough*, then you'll actually gain weight. You can't just skip meals and eat like a rabbit to lose weight. And, I'm sure you've heard that your hair and teethe can fall out, along with a lot of other really bad side effects.
This is DANGEROUS, so please read up on the *science* behind losing weight.
Obviously. It's not so much about eating less, but eating better things and exercising regularly. For the exercise, don't worry so much about doing as much as possible in one day. The thing that matters is that you have a routine that you stick to--that you work out every day. Swimming is an excellent exercise--and fun!
Your body NEEDS food, and if you don't eat enough, you will have MUCH bigger problems than being a little over-weight. This is a serious health (and beauty) risk.
Steam some veggies--you can pretty much eat all you want of them. Eat a piece of fruit before you eat a meal. Take a multivitamin daily. Drink plenty of water. These are much healthier things than skipping meals and eating like a bunny.
Please tell your parents about this, and see if you can get into therapy. There's nothing wrong with going to the therapist--everyone has some kind of messed up thought process that a therapist could help with; but, if you have a problem like this it could turn serious, perhaps deadly.
Anorexia is not attractive in a girl--more so than being a little over-weight. Fucking America and it's materialistic idealizations. Don't give into the social pressure being put on you. Be healthy first and skinny next.

Well, skipping meals might be a bit excessive. I hesitate to say you have a full blown eating disorder, but perhaps it's worth considering that what you're doing might lead to an eating disorder, Anon. Maintaining a diet doesn't mean that you must skip meals.
Anxiety about food, which stops you from living your life normally (like having dinner with your parents or hanging out with your friends) is an eating disorder.
Yes you have an eating disorder.
The problem isn't about how much weight you loose, but rather your attitude towards food.
Whatever you do, don't isolate yourself from the people who care about you. It will eventually make your life miserable, believe me. No matter how thin you are it will not cure loneliness.
Even if you still want to loose weight, that's okay. But try to involve your family and friends. Offer to cook a healthy dinner for your family or talk to your mum about the benefits of juicing whatever. Take a yoga class with your friends or organize a hike or something else active. Or find people to work out with, who you can discuss your diet and exercise plan with.
You should maybe even see someone about the anxiety, because it can escalate and that stress over food is neither healthy or normal.
Good luck:)
Yes that does seem like an eating disorder. Talk to someone close to you about it and work on trying to fix this.
If you're trying to lose weight you're probably doing it wrong. Starving yourself actually causes your body to store fat. So it does the opposite. Eat three meals a day, just make sure it's healthy with low calories. Keep working out as that will build muscle and lower fat. Don't over exert yourself.
Also celery is an awesome thing. Your body uses more calories to digest it than it possesses in the first place. Only in moderation though girly.

Yes, definitely the beginning signs of an eating disorder. Please, see a doctor and get some help for this. No, it's far from 'Normal,' and can quickly get out of hand.
Please upload on YouTube the true story of Singer Karen Carpenter. It will bring tears to your eyes and make you realize what Could happen to you.
Good luck.xxIt probably is dependent on why it is occurring. If it's because of bullying, the media or a threat to the ego, then possibly. Otherwise, it could just be anxiety or a lesser appetite because of mania or depressin.
I really think you need to let your parents know... or go see a doctor :/ That's really not healthy what you are doing... :(
